(United Kingdom, SoloAzar Exclusive).- "Spain, Operation start-up - strategy execution", is the name of the round table that took place on Tuesday 28th in the framework of the SBC Digital Event, which is taking place this week. Important executives from companies in the sector participated in it.
The talk was attended by David Plumi, Managing Director Spain of the BETSSON GROUP; Eduardo Miranda, Managing Director of BINGOSOFT (RANK GROUP); Alex Zubizarreta, Country Manager Spain of INTERWETTEN. The moderator was Samantha Asensi, Regional Manager of BET ENTERTAINMENT.
"Bingo and e-sports and virtual betting on the winners. They should take advantage of this opportunity and promote it," said Zubizarreta, who added: "The activity of the casino has increased but not enough to cover neither soccer nor tennis. first level". Then he remarked, "I don't think online gaming is growing due to confinement."
In this regard, David Plumi stressed that brands have started calling top-level athletes and influencers to promote e-sports, as is the case of Rafael Nadal.
In this sense, Samantha Asensi asked participants how companies move after the royal decree. Plumi replied: "We try to improve the user experience," and Zubizarreta added: "We continue to have users. We prepare campaigns focused on digital media, adapting our communication to new media: Netflix, Tik Tok, Amazon. Being agile and adapting to the situation is an advantage. Two days after the state of alarm decreed in Spain we organized a FIFA tournament. We have had to suspend activities but we have been very quick to prepare for the new situation. " Adittionally, Eduardo Miranda commented: "The Royal Decree makes us pause all promo, bonus or advertising. Bingo has had a slight rebound in Spain, and it has been noticed because there are few operators." There were many new users, up to the Royal Decree Zubizarreta said he believes the it will continue until June.
When asked how the return to normality will be, Plumi said: "The game must be seen from an entertainment point of view, as in the United Kingdom. Responsible gaming should be promoted more in Spain."
Zubizarreta said that the problem is that there is a lack of communication in the sector. "There are a number of responsible gaming measures that need to be made known to the user. The regulations are not known."
Miranda stressed: "The media have damaged our image and politicians generate noise with the issue of banning advertising. Like Alex and David, we have done an analysis of the players. We see more users, but we do not see a higher expense per user, or who play longer, therefore we don't see major problems with the game. " Zubizarreta agreed with him: "There was a certain increase in active users, as Eduardo says, but the behavior of the users did not change."
Regarding the products they offer, Plumi said that the Betsson Group has sportsbooks, a casino and almost 500 games on the site, and Miranda said that BINGOSOFT (RANK GROUP) had a game launch plan since last December, and now they are launching it. little by little. Meanwhile, Zubizarreta said that INTERWETTEN has a good collection of casino products, and that, at the novelty level, they hope to be able to start virtual betting on the web as soon as possible.
Asensi then asked if it would not be better to unlink the face-to-face game from the online one, and Plumi replied: "The brick-and-mortar casino has been a boom in recent years. In my opinion it would be good to unlink them, since, although we are dedicated to the same industry, they are activities completely different".
Finally, regarding the situation of confinement and what the future will be like, Zubizarreta said: "We do not know if sports will return live, or if they will operate with the public. I believe that digital companies should make the user take the digital leap" .
Besides, Miranda concluded: "The growth of e-commerce and digital will be accelerated in Spain. Many traditional players will switch to digital. Offering a good gaming experience is important."
