(Las Vegas).- Tropicana Las Vegas is officially up for sale, the corporate owner confirmed Tuesday, less than four months after its most recent sale closed.

Tropicana officially up for sale on Las Vegas Strip

Las Vegas had a string of blockbuster casino deals the past few years as investors pumped billions into properties on or near the Strip.

Gaming & Leisure Properties Inc., or GLPI, bought the 35-acre Las Vegas Strip property back in April amid the statewide shutdown on gaming.

Previous owner Penn National Gaming received $307.5 million in rent credit and continues to operate the casino-hotel, which is scheduled to reopen on Sept. 1.

GLPI said when the first sale was announced that it would conduct a sale process for the Tropicana.

Under the agreement, Penn could receive a portion of the net profit if Tropicana is sold again within two years. No asking price has been listed for the property yet.
