Uruguay seeks to attract investors for Carmelo hotel casino

(Carmelo).- The Undersecretary of Tourism, Remo Monzeglio, has intensified his efforts to ensure the revitalization of the Hotel Casino Carmelo.
Last week, Monzeglio traveled to Buenos Aires, where, between Tuesday and Wednesday, he held nine meetings with eight different groups of potential investors, meeting with one of them twice.
«I have put my heart and soul into this project, which I am increasingly convinced can be of enormous importance for Carmelo,» said Monzeglio. Given the economic situation in Argentina, the undersecretary said that «we must not become discouraged and continue working with conviction and tenacity. At least that is what I have done throughout my professional and business life.»
Monzeglio indicated that the months of extension granted for the presentation of the proposals will soon be up and he was optimistic about the progress of the project. «I remain optimistic and will continue working until the last day so that Carmelo gets what it deserves,» he said.
The undersecretary also highlighted his ties with the city and its inhabitants. «I have grown fond of Carmelo and its inhabitants, many write to me and encourage me to continue looking for new paths, aware that these are the types of investments that are needed. We will continue working, with faith and dedication, you can be sure," concluded Monzeglio.
