Uruguay to eliminate state casinos, according to Grupo Cipriani report

(Montevideo).- In a report presented by Tourism Ministery to advance with his project Cipriani Ocean Resort Residences & Casino, the Italian entrepreneur Giuseppe Cipriani estimates that the VIP segment represent half of its casino income, according to Semanario Búsqueda.

Uruguay to eliminate state casinos, according to Grupo Cipriani report

Information released by the studio include a chapter dedicated to casinos. It says that casinos are the main source of income, with around 100 million dollars, followed by food and babies with 13.5 million dollars and hotels with 11.7 million dollars. 

The operating result, without considering financial investments (Ebitda), is a series of 25.1 million dollars, with initial projects for 2023. The consultant assured that the casinos in the country operate under a “public-private” system or a “public system”

In addition, the report includes the following statement about the state casinos: “Due to the fact that some state casinos in Uruguay operate without delay, the game is busy expanding ton he private property of the gambling companies and, after being informed, is is taking under consideration to eliminate state casinos completely”.
