(USA).- A former Blizzard talent manager and the coach of the reigning Call of Duty champions are forming a new talent agency for esports players and broadcast talent.
Andrew Drake and Brice Faccento have announced the formation of their new agency, Bad Moon Talent, to represent both players in broadcast talent across multiple esports leagues including Call of Duty, Overwatch and Fortnite. The two co-founders both have their roots in Call of Duty. Faccento, who will serve as COO, comes off a world-championship winning head coaching position with eUnited, and competed as a professional for 6 years prior to his transition into coaching. Drake, who will serve as CEO, has a history in esports spanning companies such as Major League Gaming, Activision, and Blizzard, where he most recently served as a creative content producer and talent manager for endeavors such as the Call of Duty World League.
This announcement comes at a turbulent time for Call of Duty, as many professionals enter into a period of free agency ahead of the game’s move towards a franchised league. Among the pros already signed to Bad Moon Talent are Jordan “JKap” Kaplan, a veteran player known for his impressive back-to-back world championships in 2015 and 2016. The scene’s move towards franchising has additionally caused upheaval for many of the scene’s most popular teams, with Call of Duty World League Championship runner-ups 100 Thieves recently announcing they would not be part of the franchised league in 2020. One of that team's players, Ian "Enable" Wyatt, has also signed with Bad Moon Talent on launch.
