A new payment method in Latam? ProntoPaga has the Solution
2 minutos de lectura
(Miami, SoloAzar Exclusive ) - Elisa Jordan, Chief Commercial Officer at ProntoPaga, shared her experience at SBC Summit Latin America, highlighting her participation as a speaker and its innovative solutions presented there.

During SBC Summit Latin America 2024, held from 29th to 31st October in Miami, ProntoPaga, a company specialised in financial solutions, stood out with the presentation of its services and the participation of its team in various panels.
Outstanding participation in the panel ‘The Evolution of Payment in Latin America’
In particular, Elisa Jordan, Chief Commercial Officer at ProntoPaga, participated as a speaker in the panel called ‘The Evolution of Payment in Latin America’, where the latest trends in financial technology, digitalisation and payment regulation in the region were discussed.

Regarding her experience at this edition of the SBC Summit Latin America, Elisa said: ‘the event was a success in every way, in terms of its organisation, the speakers, the panels, the stands and the space where it was held’.
She also highlighted the topics covered at the conferences, describing them as interesting and significant for the industry. She also emphasised the importance of the interactivity generated there: ‘The connections that are generated in this type of events are tremendously valuable’, said Elisa, pointing that these interactions have a direct impact on the projection and growth of the firm.
Instant Pay-outs model: top solution among attendees
When asked about the most innovative solutions presented by ProntoPaga at this edition of SBC Summit Latin America, Elisa emphasized the Instant Pay-outs model, which is currently operational in 4 LATAM markets. ‘Among the attendees, it was the best accepted model, together with the new model designed for Brazil’, she explained.
She added that ‘The response we got was incredible, both in our stand, as well as in the panels where we participated and in the conversations with the attendees’.

The Chief Commercial Officer of ProntoPaga closed her analysis of the company's development at the event, reaffirming it as a key player in the payments sector within the iGaming industry, and in the region.
ProntoPaga offers customised and effective solutions for operators, ensuring better adaptation to the challenges and opportunities of each particular market.
What unique opportunities and trends did you identify and how do you tailor your solutions to meet the diverse cultural preferences in the region?
Many topics were discussed, but I will stick to the themes of ‘regulation’ and ‘payment experiences’, which were discussed in the panel on which I was a speaker, ‘The evolution of payments in LATAM’. The need for operators to have a good partner in their payment provider to help them understand the local markets in LATAM was also discussed.
How does your company approach compliance with the rules and regulations in the Latam market, especially in emerging countries such as Brazil?
For us at ProntoPaga this is a fundamental issue and we have dealt with it very carefully in the different countries in the region where we currently operate.
Specifically in Brazil what we are currently launching is a new operational model to guarantee risk-free transactions, under the structure of PST (Technology Service Provider) and with which we seek to mark a relevant milestone in a market that is in the midst of regulation.

We want to generate a positive impact on the transparency and security of the operators.
As a PST, ProntoPaga does not manage accounts in its own name in Brazil, which means that the bank accounts will always be in the name of the operators and are opened in 3 banks, with mandates that allow these openings to be frictionless.
In this context, ProntoPaga acts as a facilitator, providing its technology to process the transactions in a secure, efficient and risk free manner.
With the continued growth of the online sports betting market in Latin America, what are the main opportunities and challenges facing operators according to discussions at the event?
As I said before, I think regulation will continue to be a very important market issue.
But there is also an important challenge that has to do with innovation and generating value for operators and users. Here it is key to understand that the role of payment providers has to go beyond just offering payment methods or payout solutions.
It is necessary to ask ourselves ‘How can we contribute to make our partners’ operations grow and become more profitable? From this question arises the innovation and continuous improvement with which we can generate changes and ensure that our services do not become a commodity.

Gaming in Peru
Peru has a strong gambling tradition and modern regulation that has allowed the formal development of the industry, generating significant employment and investment. However, in recent years, the creation of new poorly designed taxes has negatively affected the sustainability of the sector, discouraging investment and encouraging illegal gambling. Constante Traverso, lawyer at ATCE Peru, an association that promotes a legislative correction to guarantee a fair, technical and constitutional tax regime to allow the consolidation of the industry, performs an analysis exclusively for SoloAzar.
