(Brazil, SoloAzar Exclusive) .- Eduardo Bercovich, Director of Atlantis, one of the main producers and designers of carpets, especially for the entertainment world, was present at the last edition of the Brazilian Gaming Congress, where SoloAzar interviewed him exclusively.
This is the first time of the company in BGC. What are your expectations about this event?
It is our first time in BGC, but it is a reason for joy because it is also the meeting with old friends, since we have been dedicated to this for many years. We have put all our expectations and believe that it will be fulfilled. Not only our expectation, but also our support to all this new movement to generate a new space.
How do you see the Brazilian market?
When the government and the Brazilian people decide, it will be fantastic. It will bring a significant number of jobs, unthinkable today in Brazil. It will generate constant cash flow and investments, because the market is hungry for this type of situations that are not happening; it only depends on the Brazilians deciding which road they will take.
How do you see the event, do you like the style, the format? Are expectations being met?
The format seems very interesting to me. It allows a fluid dialogue with operators, with investors, with specialists from different countries. It is a comfortable, affectionate area and it is not always necessary to have a space with a lot of noise and a lot of people, often it is necessary the space for reflection, for the meeting, to think and to know each other.
In what markets are Atlantis products today?
Atlantis has been producing carpets since 1936. For more than 20 years we have specialized in casino and hospitality. We have the latest technology and this has meant that we are required in different countries. We have done from hotels in Washington and Philadelphia to casinos in Panama, Paraguay, Colombia, Brazil (when there were casinos), of course in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. We have three industrial plants dedicated to that. We have our own spinning mill, weaving, dry cleaning, design department. We are absolutely integrated, and that makes us the privileged who constantly choose us, and that, when we have to make replacements, changes, the years pass and they choose us again. So we are very active.
What is the goal of this year with respect to new products, participation in events?
This year we have made an important investment in a line of production of tiles. This means that we are the only company in the Americas that can produce tiles in 1 meter by 1 meter, in 80% wool, 20% nylon, with the design they want, that is, each carpet is unique, personalized, with colors that they want, and this is the way for the personalization of a project. This is so that the architects can develop. This allows you to move a machine without problems, remove a plate, run the machine and put back the tile, move cables, etc.
