⏱ 2 min read
(Sofia, SoloAzar Exclusive) - Aristotelis Kofas, Sales Manager at Merkur Gaming spoke to SoloAzar about his experience at the Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Exhibition (BEGE) in Sofia, Bulgaria, highlighting its most innovative products and other industry-related topics.
German gaming giant Merkur Gaming had an outstanding participation at the 2024 edition of BEGE which took place from 27-28 November at the Inter Expo Center in the Bulgarian capital Sofia. There, they exhibited their latest innovations, sharing space with more than 80 international exhibitors.
Aristotelis Kofas, Sales Manager of Merkur Gaming, shared with us his vision of the firm's successful presentation at the show. There they exhibited their two latest innovative Linked Progressive Jackpot systems: Clash Link and Link Wave, along with the classic Link Zone Lounge and Jackpot Five in the Zonic Trio, among other products from their extensive portfolio.

In parallel with BEGE, the “BEGE Awards”, which recognizes the achievements of companies, were held with the presentation of the prestigious Golden Spade awards. Aristotelis commented: “We participated as a sponsor at the Gaming Industry Gala Dinner 2024” and added: “It was an outstanding event and provided us with an excellent opportunity to network with industry peers and further enhance the visibility of our brand, Merkur Gaming, through various sponsorship advertisements”.
What does it mean for your company to participate in BEGE during its 15th Anniversary? How do you value the opportunity to showcase your products alongside more than 80 international exhibitors?
The BEGE stands as one of the most prominent and dynamic B2B trade fairs in the Balkan region, making it an exceptionally important venue for us to gather and engage in meaningful exchanges. A significant number of our Eastern European clients attended the BEGE and visited our booth, which enabled us to conduct numerous insightful discussions over the course of both exhibition days.

Which products or solutions stood out in your booth during this edition of BEGE? What feedback did you receive from the attendees?
As anticipated, during BEGE 2024, our Linked Progressive Jackpot systems, Clash Link and Link Wave, stood out particularly due to their exceptional graphics, thrilling features, and impressive presentation on our Mod Ex J-Curved with a 55-inch UHD monitor. However, the feedback from visitors regarding our extensive Multigame library, the Link Zone Lounge, and the jackpot classic Five on the Zonic Trio was equally outstanding.
What are your goals for the future, taking into account the new business connections gained here in the Balkan region?
At the forefront of our priorities is strengthening and deepening our existing customer relationships in the Balkan region. Equally important to us is expanding our market presence in the Balkans, broadening our business, and establishing meaningful new customer relationships across Eastern Europe.
