(Bogotá, Exclusive SoloAzar) - At the latest edition of FADJA, SoloAzar spoke exclusively with Mateo Lenoble, Betradar’s Sales Director for South America, who discussed the company's latest products and services and their take on the recent FADJA event in Colombia that took place in April earlier this year.

Betradar remains ahead of the game and World Cup in FADJA

World Cup ready!

"With the highly-anticipated FIFA World Cup on the horizon, we created two specific products, both of which we presented at our stand at FADJA. One is a World Cup virtual product, featuring the actual nations and the real series draw, with real-time games that run every 90 minutes. The second product is our World Cup Live Sports Center. This has all the information that betting operators need for the event, including data and statistics for all upcoming games and qualified teams, as well as previous match-ups, plus the full draw, with the odds that each team has to win and so on."

FADJA

"Attending FADJA is always a very positive experience for Betradar. We enjoyed some very productive meetings with a range of clients who were interested in our products and expertise. The opportunities to speak to businesses and contacts were strong, as was the opportunity to share our knowledge and services that can assist bookmakers and other associated clients within the Colombian region.”

The betting market and opportunities in Colombia

Lenoble has a very positive outlook for Colombia and believes that it still has a lot of potential.

"I think COLJUEGOS did a good job in reviewing the situation before announcing the regulation. They studied many licensing regimes from other countries and adapted them specifically for the Colombian market.

"There are now nine official licenses in the Colombian region, but I think there is room for many more. In fact, there are many that are already applying. Colombia is a market in which operators, not only from South America, but globally are focusing on. It's a very big market where sport is considered very important, especially football, so it is a region where sports betting is therefore clearly very popular, and this is only set to continue increasing.

“Whilst football is the main sport, it is not the only one. There are many other sports that are popular, including tennis, basketball and baseball, depending on the regions.”

Staying ahead of the game

"The range of sports betting markets, and other ways of bringing fans closer to the action is becoming increasingly attractive. As such we are continuing to innovate with our sports betting and data technology across various different sports. Two years ago, for example, we began offering markets for esports games such as League of Legends. Like all of the sports we cover, we provide odds in real-time for esports. It is another way of showcasing our fast data and technology, whilst allowing us to target the millennials, as a new audience who will continue to shape the future of the industry.”
