Ceuta prepares for the VI International Conference on Responsible Gaming CEUTA-LATAM with a focus on institutional cooperation

The city of Ceuta will host the VI International Conference on Responsible Gaming CEUTA-LATAM, a hybrid and bilingual event (Spanish and English) organized by the International Alliance for Responsible Gaming, in collaboration with the Government of Ceuta.

The meeting, which will be held on April 9, 2026, will focus on institutional cooperation as a key tool to guarantee safe, responsible and sustainable gambling. Public administrations, regulators, operators, players' associations, technology providers, security forces and sports leagues from Europe and Latin America will participate.

In a context of accelerated transformation of the gaming sector, the conference seeks to improve coordination between institutions, share capacities and promote common protocols that allow anticipating and responding to cross-border risks, such as fraud, sports fixing, the prevention of money laundering and the integration of technological innovation with guarantees of security and responsibility.

The CEUTA-LATAM event is conceived as a space for work and consensus, aimed at strengthening cooperation between regulators, public administrations, law enforcement agencies, integrity entities, sports leagues, operators and players' associations. The aim is to move towards a shared framework of good practices, including information exchange, operational coordination and common minimum standards.

The choice of Ceuta as the venue reinforces its role as a technological and fiscal hub for iGaming in Spain. In recent years, the city has attracted numerous online gambling operators and projects thanks to its stable regulatory environment and specific economic-fiscal regime, consolidating qualified employment and promoting technology, compliance, integrity and security providers.

"Ceuta has shown that attracting companies and talent must be accompanied by institutional cooperation and shared standards. This Conference reinforces our commitment to sustainable growth, with player protection and integrity as priorities," the Ceuta Government highlights.

Thematic axes of the day:

Artificial Intelligence applied to responsible personalization, security and equity.

Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain: traceability and prevention of money laundering.

Integrity and the fight against fraud and sports fixing.

Brazil as an emerging market and regulatory example for LATAM.

Gamification and personalization as responsible retention tools.

Responsible innovation and management of emerging risks.

Format and expected results:
The event will take place in a hybrid format, combining face-to-face participation in Ceuta and remote connection for international attendees. The discussion panels and networking spaces will allow collaboration agreements to be generated and, as a result, a synthesis of conclusions and recommendations will be prepared to strengthen CEUTA-LATAM cooperation in terms of player protection, integrity and fraud prevention.
