Digitain brought its sportsbook platform to SiGMA 2019

(Malta, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Suren Khachatryan, Digitain CCO, was interviewed by SoloAzar during the latest edition of SiGMA, held in Malta. “SiGMA is now a regular port of call for Digitain in the summit schedule, growing in size and influence over the years since we first started coming here,” he said.
What are you presenting at SiGMA?
SiGMA has quickly become a must-make stop on the conference circuit for Digitain and we’re thrilled to be back in Malta, with our powerhouse sportsbook platform leading the way. This platform isat the forefront of the movement to propel sports betting into a new era across the igaming planet, particularly in emerging markets, and we can’t wait to showcase its unique features and progressive portfolio of games. Our unique software caters to a burgeoning portfolio of operators across the globe. It provides an intuitive multi-lingual, multi-currency, customisable interface that can be easily integrated, using unique APIs, with new or existing platforms, whether you are an online or land-based operator. At last count, our platform partnerships number in excess of 100 operators, and we hope to have built on that number before the week’s out at the MFCC!
How do you see the current edition of SIGMA?
As I mentioned, SiGMA is now a regular port of call for Digitain in the summit schedule, growing in size and influence over the years since we first started coming here. Its attendances mirror this breakout status. In fact, last year’s huge turnout was such a pleasant surprise that some people even complained about a lack of space – as they say, be careful what you wish for! Regardless, the leading delegates from all sectors of the business are always here and it’s an ideal opportunity to discuss the challenges we collectively face. So, with Digitain continuing to expand its global footprint, it’s the perfect chance to draw from that pool of informed opinion and industry expertise. Elsewhere, SiGMA’s annual poker tournament, run in conjunction with our specialist poker partner EvenBet Gaming, traditionally provides an entertaining curtain-raiser to proceedings at Malta’s InterContinental Hotel. It’s a great way to network and unwind alongside friends and colleagues in conjunction with registration drinks.
How do you evaluate the year for the company?
The speed of growth at Digitain this year has been incomparable with what I have experienced in past – after five years of core development in both sales and tech development, our platform is now primed to realise those gains for our partners worldwide. It’s already been a true breakthrough campaign in which our leading sportsbook and casino platform has garnered awards at five prestigious ceremonies, including the EGR B2B Awards. And we still have the esteemed SiGMA Awards this week and then SBC Awards to come in December. Fingers crossed we can keep the winning streak alive. It’s a wonderful, collective endorsement of all the diligent work from our talented team.
What are the goals of the company for next year?
In general, Digitain has experienced substantial growth in several international markets over the past 12 months and we want to maintain that rate of success in 2020. Strategically, in order to accommodate this expansion, we will be opening sales and business development offices in four core bases, from the UK (where we’re already up and running at the centre of Sheffield’s emerging tech hub) to South Africa, LatAm and the Philippines. The aim of these offices is to locally service existing clients and partner needs as well as increasing our inquiry pipeline. Back on the summit circuit, ICE 2020 at ExCeL London in February will be a clear moment at which to signal our agenda and progressive portfolio for the coming year.
How do you see the evolution of the player, particularly from a point of view of social responsibility? Does your Company accompany it?
I truly believe that 2020 will be the year when Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) comes into the reckoning as a key differentiator and discussion point in player evolution, service and protection. As competition increases, and customer bases and markets grow larger, it is becoming increasingly important for igaming operators to get more information about their customers in order to maintain, not to mention grow, their market share and build customer lifetime value. The gaming industry has championed the practice of customer relationship management – in fact, casinos have been keeping track of customers for years, and the mega casino brands of the American market (from which we’ve seen many of the most salient sports betting rollouts) are naturally some of the finest exponents of such player management. But with CRM coupled to Digitain’s data insights, they can now take the customer relationship to a whole new level – and that’s before we even get into the cross-sell potential between sportsbook and casino. Whatever the demands, though – be it social responsibility or bonusing tools, client segmentation, payments or telling data analytics – Digitain has the answers.
