(San José).- This event will be held in the capital of Puerto Rico on May 14 and 15, and it will bring together the leading countries of the gaming industry to analyze the challenges faced by the sector in the global context under the motto 'Perspectives of the game in Latam'.
The Ibero-American Gaming Summit, which has chosen Puerto Rico as the venue for this international event, will hold its 8th edition in the capital San Juan from May 14 to 15. The place chosen for these work sessions is the Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino hotel.
The Puerto Rican administration is among the countries that has legislated online gambling in recent years, to benefit users, open the market to the world of online betting and be more competitive. Companies and governments have become aware of the importance of innovation and digitalization, as shown by the Puerto Rico gaming sector experiencing record profits in 2022.
The political-social stability of Puerto Rico and the dynamism of its economy contribute to guaranteeing the legal security of foreign investments in an island that has a strategic geolocation in America. It is not in vain that Puerto Rico has the dollar as its currency, an admirable geographical position, a banking system and regulations that aim to attract foreign investors who are in search of new horizons and safe markets.
Representatives of the gaming regulatory bodies of Paraguay, Portugal, Panama, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and Buenos Aires in Argentina will be present as can be seen in the program published on the forum website, with the government of Puerto Rico at the head as institutional ambassador of the meeting in his capacity as host. In addition, this forum has the presence of around twenty countries among its attendees, with prominent personalities such as Daniel Romanowski, President Director of Lottopar, the Lottery of the state of Paraná in Brazil.
There are many companies interested in the potential of the gaming sector in Latin America and therefore there are several international companies that have opted for this meeting point of the sector as sponsors of the event in its different modalities; Gold as Cirsa, Aristocrat, GLI, Sportium, Entain, Novomatic, Apuesta Total, Silver as Atomo Gaming, Casino Metro, Evolution, the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) and more recently Royal Gaming Logistics LLC and Bronze as Alasca.
In the words of the organizer, José Ángel Fernández of JAK Comunicación, “This event highlights the markets with the greatest projection, which tend to be those with government stability, because a regulation that covers the new existing forms of gambling and chance is fundamental for the industry. If the region also has a thriving economy that strengthens business competitiveness, success is assured. It is an industry in permanent transformation” and he added that this event is emerging as the ideal meeting place for the public and private sectors, where business opportunities and the development potential of the different markets will be discussed.
