"From the Desk of... Bill Miller, President and CEO, American Gaming Association

As Global Gaming Expo 2023 quickly approaches, the gaming industry remains on a record-setting pace. Since the outset of 2021—when the industry truly got back on its feet from the impacts of the pandemic—we have seen 10 straight quarters of year-over-year commercial gaming revenue growth. And through the first half of 2023, we are on track to accomplish the remarkable feat of breaking our annual revenue record for a third consecutive year.

For G2E 2023, this means the industry will enter this year’s expo with more momentum than ever—and this energy will be reflected in every facet of the show.

On the expo floor, attendees can expect more than 350 exhibitors and participating companies, debuting new products that will define the future of the casino floor, shape the future of sports betting and online gaming, advance payments and tech innovation, and more. A testament to the growth and potential of the iGaming sector, new to this year’s expo hall will be a dedicated “iGaming Zone,” featuring some of the most innovative companies in the space.

Doing business at G2E also means making new connections, and as always at G2E, there will be no shortage of opportunities, including dedicated events at the show floor’s networking lounge like coffee breaks, happy hours and specialized meetups for various gaming community groups.

While the expo floor will be concentrated on doing business and showing off the newest products in gaming, G2E’s education conference will focus on the issues shaping the future of gaming. This year’s schedule, cultivated from more than 400 submissions from industry stakeholders, will address questions like:

  • What are the most incisive next steps the legal industry can take in our fight against illegal gambling?
  • How can we work together to ensure a strong and sustainable legal sports betting market?
  • How will AI impact gaming in the next decade?
  • What investments will have the biggest impact on bolstering responsible gaming and curbing problem gambling.
  • And what are the next frontiers for gaming’s expansion in the U.S. and beyond?

While gaming continues to ride a high, we must also consider potential headwinds, and these sessions correctly strike a balance of exploring both opportunities and threats for our industry.

At its core, G2E is catalyst for industry advancement, and between this year’s packed expo floor and robust conference, G2E 2023 will generate the deals and ideas that keep us on the cutting edge of providing a safe, world-class entertainment experience.

The American Gaming Association and our partners at RX can’t wait to welcome the global gaming community back to Las Vegas this October.
