(Lima, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Carlos Andrés Ramos, Director of Latin America for GameArt and Country Manager of Rivalo for Peru, gave an interview to SoloAzar in which he shared his impressions about the recent edition of Peru Gaming Show and commented the novelties presented by GameArt and Rivalo.
How have you experienced the Peruvian Gaming Show 2021?
The show is very good, very entertaining. It is very nice to meet friends, colleagues and clients once again, after a long time, due to COVID-19. We are at booth 50, I think that today we are the only novelty of the show because GameArt is in South America and we are with Rivalo showing our novelties in online and sportsbooks, both online and land-based.
What novelties have you presented?
With GameArt we presented the ARGO and Tronius E multi-game machines. Argo has 3 displays of 27" each, and the Tron-E model, with 2 displays. Both models are massively available in casinos in Peru and other South American countries.
With Rivalo we are presenting a new business model, which is like a QR in which Rivalo will show the jackpots for each casinos, and the traditional theme that supports the retail points for agents who want to partner with us.
What have been the main changes in the client's profile since the beginning of the pandemic?
Well now customers are preferring an omnichannel theme. That is what is now in vogue despite the fact that in other areas it has started about a long time ago, but in the casino sector it is a recent issue. In South America, due to a lack of online infrastructure, we are still in that process, and customers are playing a bit landbased a bit online. Specially, the customers of traditional casinos are a slightly older audience, but with an adequate orientation by our promoters, they are managing to adapt to the online world.
What prospects does the Peruvian market have regarding the imminent legalization of online gambling?
On the online issue, I represent Rivalo, which is a European company, and we already have a license in other countries, such as Colombia, for example. We welcome the legalization, we agree with it, since in regulated markets a better management can be done and there is a good filter of companies that really must operate and provide greater security to customers.
How are you going to face next year?
Next year, with the GameArt company, we are going to organize 3 decentralized showrooms in Colombia in Bogotá, Medellin and Bucaramanga for our clients, because the country is close to have a regulatory change on the issue of approvals.
At Rivalo, we plan to have four retail stores of our own, of our brand, plus our advertised ones.
Finally, I want to thank all our clients who have been with our company for more than 40 years and who have always been loving, have health and that this area is so beautiful that I ask all the actors involved to take care of it. I believe that the COVID issues should make this area increasingly united.
