(Colombia, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Alejandra Burato, Zitro Regional Manager for Latin America was interviewed exclusively by SoloAzar on the occasion of the presentation of the company in the last edition of FADJA.

"In Zitro we know very well the profile of the players of the different Latin American markets"

What are you presenting in this edition of the show?

Zitro has today a range of product suitable for the Colombian market thanks to the wide library of games Video Slots Bryke, which joins our always renewed offer of Video Bingo. We have invested in a very significant way to expand and consolidate our presence in the region. Proof of this is our first presence in FADJA. At the fair we have presented our latest news, both Video Slot and Video Bingo. We highlight the progressive multi-game banks Link King, Guns & Gold and the already proven bank Blazing Pearls, which is working very successfully in gaming halls around the world. At the level of standalone games we have presented new sets of the Pick & Win series as well as the new Hot Deal multigame family. All Zitro products have been presented in the impressive Fusion furniture, both in its Upright and Slant versions.

Are there special products for the region?

In Zitro we know very well the demographic profile of the players of the different markets of Latin America and, in particular, of the Colombian, since, although Zitro has been present in the region for some years, the people that integrate the Zitro team for Latin America we have extensive experience accumulated after a few decades serving this market. For this reason, we have taken special care that the products developed are appropriate to the tastes of the players in the region, both in their mathematics and in their aesthetics and their playability.

What are the expectations and goals for FADJA?

The first objective was to present ourselves in first person to Colombian operators and other Latin American countries that visited the event, present our commercial and technical team and affirm our commitment to direct service to the casinos of the region. We are aware of the quality of the products we have presented, since we know the performance they have already shown in the large number of casinos in which they already operate, so we came to Fadja with very, very high expectations. And with everything and that, reality overcame them. We have come to see the vast majority of operators in Colombia, and even operators from other countries in the region, and all of them agreed on the impressive transformation of Zitro which is today an integral provider of gaming machines in addition to the leader in Video bingo. A resounding success.

How important is this region for the company?

Colombia is one of the largest markets in Latin America in which Zitro believes very much. We have just opened our own offices, we have hired highly qualified people, and we are determined to offer the best service. The same goes for Peru, where we have just added additional commercial and technical resources. In Argentina, where Zitro has operated for the longest time, our commercial and technical team has more than doubled in less than a year, so we have had to expand our offices to meet the growing demand in the Southern Cone in which we have tripled our presence in twelve months. Among the Spanish-speaking countries, Mexico deserves a separate mention. In that country, Zitro leads the Video Bingo market and is already competing with its Bryke Video Slots with top-notch international providers. In the light of the presence of Zitro in the region can be noted the enormous strategic importance we give to it.

How do you see the fair this year?

We saw a Fadja very well presented, with quality standards in the pavilion and in the stands of the exhibitors comparable to other international events. For Zitro the fair has been a success, our stand has been tremendously crowded and this has resulted in firm commercial commitments. So we can already announce that Colombian customers are going to see an increasing number of Zitro machines in the country's casinos.

What feedback did you receive from the visitors?

All the people who have come to our stand have been amazed, not only by the wide range of products of Video Slots, but also by the impressive presentation of them. The reaction was unanimous: Zitro is already a global provider.

How do you see the gaming market in Colombia and its efforts to combat illegal gambling?

The work that Coljuegos is doing is paying off. The implementation of online systems for the control of gaming machines in the halls makes the activity of illegal operators notably difficult, so if the regulator persists in the implementation of these good practices, the illegal operation will disappear, with the help of the police action.

How do you see the regulation of online gambling in Colombia? Do you think it is a good example for the region?

Colombia has been a pioneer in the regulation of online gambling, and certainly is an example to be imitated by other countries in the region. Regulators cannot allow gambling money to go to offshore companies that do not generate employment or pay taxes, when they can regulate online gambling properly so that operators create wealth for the country.
