(Valencia, SoloAzar Exclusivo).- Eduard Marti, IPS Commercial Director, chatted with SoloAzar within EXPOJOC, the games of chance event held last week. Martí commented the characteristics of the Telemetry Service, which received the award for innovation at the show.
IPS is a company that has been innovating for 35 years in the recreational sector. We are leaders in management solutions for recreational machines, both in hotels and in lounges. Our tools allow us to manage nearly 100,000 daily machines throughout the Spanish territory. We are 40 professionals dedicated solely and exclusively to the recreational sector”, commented Martí.
“We received an Innovation Award for the Telemetry Service that we have in the hotel industry. It is a device that we put in each hotel machine, on the street, and its function is to encrypt the information from the machine and send it to us in real time. This allows real-time knowledge of the entire infrastructure at any time. We know when a machine is off, for example, when it should really be on, or we can know if we are at the limit of the collection system, with which we can go to attend to it, or if, on the contrary, it is below the limits of Hopper, with which we have to go fill the drawer, to avoid technical stops”, he added.
He then detailed how this device improves the operator's profitability. “Profitability is improved by two levers: one by increasing revenue and the other by reducing costs, and this device allows us to do both. How to increase income? Well, first maximizing the time of operation. If a machine is off when it should be on, it tells us, so we can take action to fix it. It also tells us when the drawer is about to be empty, with which one could give a prize. When that happens, the machine stops. This alerts us, and in this way we can prevent, we can act. And what does it allow us to save costs? Well, on the move, at any time and place, if the machine is already fine, there is no need to go to the machine to see how it is”.
“The collection routes that we have established, we can now optimize them, and additionally, these would be the financial parameters, the impact on the income statement. Then we also have the experience of the customers, of the operators, of those who are at the bar, because they will not have to notify the operators that the machine is not working, nor will they have to notify that the customer is waiting for a prize, nor will to happen that he sees the collector arrive and when he goes to the collection there is nothing to distribute, "he said.
He then talked about the Master Platform, which integrates all the infraestructure, both in hostelling and gambling venues, machines, etc. “I can see all the parameters of the hospitality industry, and I can link them with the telemetry parameters. These indicators tell us which machines are connected, which are not connected, where those machines are, I also have a 360 view of each establishment. I have the history available and also what is happening in real time. It can be used perfectly on the Tablet or the mobile, too. This gives us the ease and availability of knowing what is happening with each establishment. We can also see the amount of money that is in each room and in each machine. And this is especially relevant now with the different payment methods.”
Finally, regarding the performance of IPS at EXPOJOC, he commented: “I am lucky, because I joined the role of Commercial Director in July 2020, just after the first wave, with which, for me, everything is going well. Furthermore, the reception of the products has been very good. We are having a very good acceptance and since the beginning of the fair we have had meetings with our clients”.
