(Barcelona, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Ksenia, Team Lead B2B Casinos and affiliate from Uplatform, shares in this in-depth interview the highlights at ICE Barcelona, reviews the products presented by the firm and anticipates what other events they will attend this year.

Ksenia from Uplatform explains how important was for the company to participate in ICE Barcelona 2025

To begin we asked Ksenia, Team Lead  B2B  Casinos and affiliate from Uplatform, what was it like being an exhibitor at the first-ever ICE in Barcelona.

ICE Barcelona was fantastic! You know, ICE events are always circled on our calendar as prime networking opportunities, a place where we can really connect with people in the industry and establish valuable business relationships. But this first Barcelona show? It just felt like the energy was amplified. Maybe it was the new location, or just a really engaged crowd, but it was especially productive for us”.

Novelties from Uplatform at ICE Barcelona

What new ideas did you showcase, and which markets showed the most interest during the tradeshow?

“We were really excited to present our in-house-made sportsbook. It's something we've put a lot of work into, and we were eager to get feedback. Given our strategic focus on the Asian, African, and Latin American markets, what was really encouraging was the significant interest and enthusiasm we saw specifically from representatives from these regions. Honestly, you wouldn't believe the incredible opportunities these regions offer right now. There's a real hunger for innovative iGaming solutions, and we think our sportsbook is a great fit”.

Were there any conferences, panels, or debates that you found particularly helpful or interesting?

Definitely! For me, the sessions that really stood out were those focused on the Customer Journey. It's such a crucial aspect of what we do, and it's always evolving. Hearing different perspectives and learning about new strategies for optimizing that journey was incredibly valuable.

Future trends and plans for this year

Looking ahead, what trends do you think will shape the industry in the near future?

You know, it's hard to predict the future with certainty, but AI definitely seems like a promising trend for the future. The potential applications are vast, from personalized iGaming experiences to fraud prevention and enhanced customer support. It's something we're keeping a close eye on and exploring various means to integrate it into our offerings.

How did player preferences evolve this year, and how did your offerings adapt?

Well, I would say that gamification and personalized offers are still a big deal for players. But lately, we've seen more demand for tournaments on our platform. Our partners have been asking for them, and we've noticed more players joining in. It seems like they're really enjoying them! We always try to keep up with what's popular.

Personalization plays a crucial role in player retention. How does Uplatform integrate data-driven personalization into its solutions, and what tools do you offer operators to enhance engagement?

You're absolutely right, personalization is key for keeping players engaged. And to make that easier for operators, we equip them with powerful tools. For example, our back offices provide a range of reports that really help track those all-important retention metrics. We also have our own CRM system, where operators can build customer journeys, segment players, and set different kinds of mailings (emails, push notifications, SMS, direct messages). It's all about giving operators the tools they need to understand their players and create tailored experiences that keep them coming back.

To conclude, What are the upcoming events you will be attending this year?

“We’re thrilled about the upcoming events in 2025. After a successful ICE Barcelona, our calendar is packed with key gatherings that will help us connect with industry leaders and showcase our profit-proven solutions. In April, we’ll be at SiGMA Americas in São Paulo, followed by SBC Americas in Fort Lauderdale in May. July takes us to iGB London. Later in the year, we’re set for SBC Lisbon in September and SiGMA Milan in November. Each event is a fantastic opportunity to drive the future of iGaming and expand our global reach”.
