(Las Vegas, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Athanasios ‘Sakis’ Isaakidis, Chief Executive International of MERKUR GAMING, spoke with SoloAzar about the company´s recent participation at the G2E Expo in Las Vegas, North America, and their plans of expansion in the US Market.

Merkur had a great experience at the G2E tradeshow in Las Vegas

How was your experience at G2E this year?

No matter whether before, during or after the G2E: The entire trade show was, as usual, enormously well organized. The high number of truly interested visitors, especially from Latin America, made the fair once again a great experience for us. Also, the respectful and understanding collaboration among the industry members, which prevailed throughout the entire trade show, deserves positive mention. Finally, the numerous impressive innovations and product presentations, which this year's G2E once again provided a worthy stage for, rounded off our good experience at G2E 2023.

Regarding the products presented at G2E, what is the message for potential new partners?

At G2E we presented a wide range of products that empowers Merkur Gaming to find an answer to every customer request – from singlegames to multigames all the way up to linked solutions and, of course, Electronic Table Games. The expertise of our sister companies Bede Gaming and edict egaming in the online area of our business enables us to respond to the most diverse customer requests in the online gaming world. Not to forget Merkur Gaming’s sister company GeWeTe, which is specialized in the development, production, and distribution of cash handling solutions.

How are you working on innovations within the US market?

The North American gaming market is very promising and accordingly quite important for Merkur. We are working on various strategies to introduce our product solutions and innovations in the US market.

After the success of Merkur's presentation at G2E, could you give a summary of the Company’s achievements this year?

As an omni-solutions provider for the gaming industry, we see many achievements in each segment. So, on the one hand we are very proud of our capability to meet market requirements and customer needs within acceptable timeframes. But on the other hand, we are facing immense challenges. The year 2023 is a very difficult one in terms of new regulations that are not in favor of our industry and the people working in it – and, of course, are also not to the benefit of the cash return to the public sectors.
