NOVOMATIC introduces new cabinets for Latin America at PGS

(Lima, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Mike Robinson, International Product PR and Media Manager at NOVOMATIC, granted an interview to SoloAzar during recent Peru Gaming Show, in which he commented about the new product launches and the current situation of the market, among other issues.
“At the beginning of 2018, we launched three brand new cabinets for international casino markets. Following their introduction at ICE, we showcased at them G2E Asia in May for the first time in Asia, and now, at the Peru Gaming Show, for the first time in Latin America,” said Mike Robinson. “Those cabinets are the PANTHERA™ 2.27, which has a dual 27 inch monitor display, the PANTHERA™ Curve 1.43 with a single, curved 43 inch monitor in 4K resolution, and the V.I.P. Lounge™ Curve 1.43, successor of the V.I.P Lounge™ cabinet, which also features the 4K curve screen”.
He then added: “We are showing a wide range of new and proven content on those cabinets here in Peru. On the PANTHERA™ 2.27 is NOVO LINE™ Interactive Edition X that features 10 strong NOVOMATIC titles combined in one game mix, including Viking & Dragon™ and Book of Ra™ Temple of Gold. We are also showing the Jackpot Edition™ deluxe with themes like Dancing Dragon™, Freibier!™ and Megaburner™ 6. The line-up on the PANTHERA™ Curve includes new single games such as Asian Fortunes™ and Treasure of Tut™, all connected to our linked progressive Enchanted Fortunes Linked Jackpot™. And on the V.I.P. Lounge™ Curve 1.43 is Concurve Edition 4 with new themes like Riches of Babylon™ and Pure Jewels™ Xtreme.”
The firm also presented some top-performing cabinets in Peru. “Some of our most sought-after cabinets in Peru are on display, particularly, the NOVOSTAR® 2.24 cabinet with a variety of platforms, also the V.I.P. Lounge™ cabinet with the Scorpion Chair. Finally, we are showing the Octavian myACP system, which is a leading casino management solution for operators around the region”, Robinson commented.
When asked about the current PGS show, he said: “It is an interesting week – as always with these shows, we have our expectations – and PGS 2018 hasn’t disappointed. The show floor has been bustling with activity until now, major and local manufacturers are present with a variety of new product offerings that address Peru and the surrounding markets. Conversations are also taking place about possible online gaming legislation in Peru, following the well-created model of Colombia, but this is still in the early stages.”
He then spoke about the gaming market in Peru. “It’s a big market – there are a large number of machines in the country, and there are certain games that players like. NOVOMATIC classics such as Dolphin’s Pearl™, Lucky Lady’s Charm™ and Sizzling Hot™ perform very well. Some of our classic fruit games are also popular, so new mixes like Impera Line™ HD Edition 6 feature a range of new fruit themes such as Flaming Forties™, Blue Moon™ and Fruit Cubes™ and have received good a reception at the show. New titles we are showing such as Amazon’s Diamonds™ and Voodoo Fortunes™ are also receiving good feedback, so while there are a lot of preferential games, operators are open to trying new concepts, new technologies.”
Robinson also commented that NOVOMATIC has a very strong position in Peru. “We have been in the market for about 25 years, and consistently strong. We also have direct operational knowledge and operated 17 casinos until last year, when we decided to focus our operations on Europe. During the time we had those casinos, we gained a detailed understanding of regional player preferences, which led back into the development of the games specifically for Peru.”
When asked to make an evaluation of the first half of the year and the goals for the second semester, he affirmed: “We are showing our new cabinets, linked progressives and game mixes in Latin America, here for the first time, and they should be available in Peru in the second half of the year. Our goals are also to develop more specific game mixes for regional markets as well as following up with new content for the various platforms and jackpots that we’ve been showing.”
Finally, he talked about the trade events for the rest of the year. “The majority of this year’s trade shows are now complete – most recently at G2E Asia and Juegos Miami – with one exception of course, G2E, where we will have another large presence together with Ainsworth. In addition, there are a couple of important upcoming shows in Eastern Europe, so we will be present again in Romania and Bulgaria, two very strong markets for us. Of course, preparations will then be well underway for our major showcase of each year – ICE 2019.”
