Perú Gaming Show 2024

At the end of the year 2023, AFFILIATED MARKETIG GROUP SAC - AMG SAC, the organiser of the international PGS fair, makes a brief evaluation of what has been happening in the region.

2023 was characterised, above all, by the eagerness to formalise and regulate the verticals that exist in the gaming industry. In this line, sports betting and online games took special interest, in Peru, where the law already existed, the executive and congress approved the regulation to leave the market fully regulated, following in the footsteps of Colombia, where the regulation for land based games, sports betting and online games exist.

In Argentina, which has regulation by state or province, continued to make progress, in December 2023 in the province of Santa Fe, the project of law for gambling and online sports betting was approved.

In Brazil, the law regulating the online sports betting and gambling market was approved in December 2023, and in Chile, the project to regulate the online sector was also approved.

In Uruguay and Paraguay, debates are underway in the corresponding bodies and everything suggests that they will have a favourable outcome towards regulation.

In short, throughout Latam, states are very concerned about formalising and regulating the gambling sector to guarantee legality, transparency and responsible gambling.

At the PGS 2024 conferences, these issues will be addressed as a priority.

In this context, we must highlight the result of the PGS 2023 that took place on 14 and 15 June, in this call participated more than 70 brands between exhibitors with stands and those who used sponsorships to not fail to have a presence in the most expected and important trade fair event in the region.

The number of visitors from all over the world, far exceeded the attendance of past editions, no one wanted to miss PGS 2023 and be part of the excellence with nourished offers of products and services of last generation.

For the year 2024, PGS is scheduled for the 12th  and 13th of June, in Lima, Perú.

The panel entitled "Localised Marketing Approaches" will feature industry experts Pedro Melo (Commercial Director, Clube Atletico Mineiro), Vanda Silvia (Corporate Director, Clever Advertising), Ernest Bowes (Brazil Content Director, BlueWindow), Marco Pequeno (CEO, iGaming360) and moderator Thomas Carvalhaes (Managing Director, Vai de Bob).
