(Lima, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Toni Maawad, Managing Director of Pacific Gaming SA, Konami Gaming's exclusive distributor in Peru, granted an interview to SoloAzar, in which he spoke about the company's participation in PGS and the current market situation and future plans, among other topics.
What did the company's participation in PGS consist of?
Our company Pacific Gaming, exclusive distributor in Peru of Konami Gaming, had the great satisfaction of presenting the new Dimension 27 3-screen cabinet, which has a shiny silver finish, double rotary buttons, double cup holders and cable phone chargers. and wireless.
We received great feedback from visitors at PGS regarding the design and the new game titles available, but they mostly celebrated the compatibility with Konami's hit multigame SeleXion.
How have you seen the event? What have been the highlights?
PGS 2022 was a magnificent opportunity to meet again with our clients and friends; and, demonstrating our total commitment to them and to the brand we represent.
We must highlight the great participation of manufacturers and operators in this edition of PGS, which indicates that we are heading for a new normality and that at Pacific Gaming, as has been customary since 2010, we will continue to provide the attention, advice and technical service, which Peruvian operators deserve.
Peru is one of the most important markets in Latam. How is your position in the market and what are your goals for the country for the rest of the year?
Konami is among the most recognized brands in the market due to the high quality of its products. As exclusive distributors in the country, we are very proud to have developed the Konami brand in Peru and that operators and their customers recognize it.
In the remainder of the year we will continue with the installations of the Dimension 27 cabinet, as well as the new launch of the award-winning Dimension 49 cabinet, which has a 49” vertical screen and innovative games with progressives that can be linked such as the successful Fortune Mint.
A project to regulate online gambling in Peru continues to advance. How do you think the law will influence the activity of your company and the sector in general?
It seems very positive to us because being one of the best regulated markets in the region, it was a subject that had been pending for a long time, and the approval of the regulation will allow the sector to continue developing within the framework of formality that we are used to.
