Safer gambling week sees MERKUR UK announce clean sweep of G4 safer gambling audits

(London).- Blueprint Gaming, MERKUR UK’s online division, has become the latest and final brand within the Group to complete the audit of Responsible Gambling practices and procedures undertaken by the internationally renowned Global Gambling Guidance Group (G4).
Blueprint Gaming follow sister brands Blueprint Operations, Regal Gaming Technologies, MERKUR Slots and MERKUR Bingo to have completed the independent audit which was overseen by responsible gambling expert, Pieter Remmers who founded the independent G4 accreditation and certification body and has worked on the development of policy in jurisdictions including the Netherlands, South Africa, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, Malta and Sweden.
Confirming the latest success, Sascha Blodau, General Manager of MERKUR UK said: “When we launched our 360 Safer Gambling Program I went on the record to state that our overarching aim was to set the Gold Standard for safer gambling in our sector. I am delighted at the progress that’s been made across the entire UK business which also includes Blueprint Gaming, our online division.
“Safer Gambling is not transactional it’s a culture and we were committed to instilling and living that culture in everything that everyone undertakes across the entire MERKUR UK family including team members who are not consumer-facing.”
He added: “It is totally fitting that we are announcing the successful Audit during the UK’s Safer Gambling Week which does so much to raise awareness of safer gambling.
“Our commitment is to sustain that awareness and engagement with players every week of the year and to provide our consumer-facing colleagues with the tools, the training and the confidence to ensure that gambling entertainment remains safe, secure and enjoyable for their customers. Working with the experts at G4 is another example of what we are doing as a business to identify and protect the very small percentage of customers who may experience problems.”
