(Malta, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Gil Rotem, IGT President of iGaming, granted an interview to SoloAzar, in which the firm evaluated the participation at the latest SIGMA show. He also commented product novelties related to current FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and plans for next year. “Players can expect to see some thrilling new titles in 2023”, he said.

What novelties/ activities have the firm presented at the show?

Since IGT acquired iSoftBet earlier this year, we have been in the process of uniting our teams, platforms, and services. SIGMA marks our first European trade show where IGT PlayDigital presented as one unit. As we sat down with existing and prospective customers, we showcased strong, expanded game portfolio with many top-performing themes, jackpot and analytics tools to increase player engagement, and our world-class game aggregation platform. We are really excited about all the increased potential IGT PlayDigital now has to offer.

How do you evaluate your participation in the event?

SIGMA provided a great opportunity to catch up with customers, make new contacts, and review industry trends. Our partners were impressed by PlayDigital’s roadmap and we look forward to working with them in the future.

Have you showcased any innovative product or service related to the Qatar World Cup 2022?

At IGT, we have a global and on-the-ground reach with all our customers, and this is what really allows us to offer premium services that highlight the best of our games, content, and sports betting services. Special events such as the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 require that we be completely informed and aligned with each of our customers’ strategies. Many of our customers offer sports betting promotions, which enable a possible crossover to the digital casino side of their business to increase player retention. To accomplish this, our IGT PlaySports™ team offered all the major markets’ games, halves, goal totals, odds-to-win groups, and more. For a second-half drive, we're planning an expanded offering during the knockout stages by having additional player props. On the digital casino side, we will be awaiting players with some breakthrough games and themed promos.

How does your company see 2023 for the European market related to the gaming sector?

Europe is the most mature iGaming market in the world. IGT PlayDigital believes that Europe now has a more knowledgeable and demanding player base, and quality games are what will really catch their attention, which is where we stand out. We are prepared to meet players’ expectations with our expanded portfolio of leading content and market-attuned games. IGT PlayDigital uses our advanced analytics tools to gain insights such as the demographics of people who play the games, the features they enjoy playing, if the game works in a specific jurisdiction, etc. Our third-party game aggregation platform enables us to offer more games with a faster speed to market time without comprising the high-quality that we promise to our players. Players can expect to see some thrilling new titles in 2023, as IGT PlayDigital remains focused on our continued growth trajectory, providing high-quality content at a faster pace, and having leading positions in all jurisdictions.

What are the plans for the near future?

IGT PlayDigital has several initiatives planned for the next few years that are already underway. First off, we have a leadership position in the U.S. and Canadian markets which can only improve as we continue to introduce innovation and quality content. Second, omnichannel solutions are a top priority and as the only supplier to offer these games, we will look to expand our proven experience into new markets. Third, emerging markets are always attractive, and we understand that it requires a long-term investment, and eventually being first-to-market will pay off. Our ultimate, and most important plan is simply to deliver quality entertainment to players.
