Soft2Bet presents “Player Experience Academy” initiative at SBC Summit

Soft2Bet’s Player Experience Academy will return to SBC Summit 2026 on 29 September, bringing together industry leaders and senior decision-makers to explore practical strategies for improving player engagement while supporting responsible gaming and compliance.

A New Edition Focused on Player Experience

Soft2Bet has announced the return of its The Player Experience Academy at SBC Summit 2026, following strong demand for the programme’s inaugural edition last year.

The initiative is designed to provide senior decision-makers with practical tools and strategies for enhancing player experience while ensuring that engagement initiatives remain aligned with regulatory requirements in increasingly competitive markets.

The Academy will take place on 29 September 2026 at Sala Tejo, MEO Arena, as part of SBC Summit’s Education+ programme. The half-day event will feature expert-led sessions examining behavioural science, player engagement, retention and the commercial strategies behind successful user experiences.

From Behavioural Science to Commercial Strategy

The programme will explore topics including behavioural design, player psychology, personalisation and retention frameworks.

Through presentations, panel discussions, demonstrations and practical workshops, participants will examine how product and engagement strategies can be translated into measurable business outcomes.

The Academy will also explore lessons from industries such as video games, retail and entertainment, where progression systems, missions, personalised rewards and other engagement mechanics have become widely established.

Balancing Engagement With Player Protection

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, said: "Some of the most effective engagement mechanics in iGaming came from outside the industry. Video games, retail and entertainment have shown how missions, progression systems, battle passes and personalised rewards build stronger and more lasting customer relationships.

"This Academy will explore how operators can adapt those ideas while recognising the industry's regulatory responsibilities. Delegates will look at what can be borrowed, what needs to change, and how gamification can support engagement without compromising player protection."

David Yatom Hay, General Counsel at Soft2Bet, said: "The second edition of the Player Experience Academy is designed to move beyond theory and focus on execution. It will provide the frameworks, insights and strategies needed to create stronger player engagement, improve retention and generate measurable commercial results."

Building a Long-Term Educational Platform

The Academy's return reflects Soft2Bet's broader objective of creating an educational platform where industry professionals can exchange knowledge and explore developments in behavioural analytics, personalisation and retention technology.

By combining commercial expertise with product knowledge and research-led insights, the initiative aims to provide practical guidance for casino and sportsbook businesses while promoting responsible gaming.

The organisers also point to the rapid expansion of the iGaming sector and the growing scale of SBC Summit as evidence of the need for greater knowledge sharing and professional development across the industry.

Player Experience Academy Set for 29 September

The Player Experience Academy will take place on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, from 13:30 to 17:00 at Sala Tejo, MEO Arena, during SBC Summit 2026.

Further information regarding the programme, speakers and registration will be announced in the coming weeks.
