"The Mexican market has grown a lot, and we with it"

(Cancun, SoloAzar Exclusive).- César Baez, General Director of Bya Group, spoke exclusively with SoloAzar during his participation in the last edition of the Caribbean Gaming Show.
We are in the 8th edition of CGS in Cancun, Mexico. What are you exhibiting in this opportunity?
For this year we have some new models, and some of them we could present in Bogotá, but here we have more chairs because being here in Mexico we have the facility to bring more models so that our clients can appreciate their different uses.
Now we have clients who are thinking about changing the design of the chair. Once the customer bought the chair, he has the possibility to change the top part. That represents an expense of approximately 50% of the total value of the chair. Seeing the cost-benefit ratio is a good opportunity to renovate a casino.
How do you see the market in the region?
The Mexican market has enormous potential. Being in Mexico is like being in the big leagues: the casino projects are 400, 500, 700, the casinos have many machines where many chairs can fit. In addition, you come to Mexico and there is always a new and interesting product. I think that generates an expectation of growth, and that to date the Mexican market has grown a lot, and we with it.
What do you think about the fact that Cancun has been chosen as the venue for this eighth edition?
I think it is a success. Cancun is an incredible venue because there is everything. Everything that is needed for a fair is here. You can stay in a wonderful hotel, with all-inclusive, you can go out at night to a disco, a bar or restaurant. Besides the wonderful beaches, the weather, there is fantastic Cancun. Yes, I would like this fair to mature and that the format be of great magnitude, as it deserves. I think that the Latin market may well make a huge exposure in Mexico. You have to work hard for it but you can do a ninth edition 5 or 6 times larger and absorb the public of some other fairs. For the exhibitor, it is often tiring. In our case, we participate in Bogotá, in Peru, in Mexico, in Panama, in Las Vegas, now we go to Buenos Aires... If there was a large expo for the Latin market, I think it could be here, and they have all of Mexico to do it. Cancun is wonderful and the balance of this event is very positive. The truth is that this can grow a lot.
