Ukrainian Gambling Council becomes Strategic Partner of SBC Summit CIS

A partnership between SBC and Sports Media Holdingthe Summit will take place at the Parkovy Kyiv International Convention Center in Ukraine on 13-14 October 2021.

The UGC has become a Strategic Partner of the event and will provide valuable input on some of the key topics on the agenda, including the opportunities for operators in Ukraine, tax regulations and marketing strategies.

Since legislation was passed last year to legalise gambling in Ukraine, the UGC has emerged as a powerful voice in the industry and an important channel for communication between licensed operators and the government.

Its members include Parimatch, Pin-Up, Shangri La, Slots City, First Casino, Cosmolot, Volna 4444, and a number of professional NGOs from the gambling industry.

Anton Kuchukhidze, Chairman of the UGC, said: “We’re delighted to be a partner of SBC Summit CIS, which will provide a great setting for betting and casino operators to come together to exchange ideas about doing business in Ukraine.

“We’re also looking forward to meeting representatives from the wider international industry to learn from their experiences.”

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, said: “Ukraine is one of the most exciting emerging markets in the world and is the subject of great interest from the international industry. The opportunities in its land-based and online sectors, along with its potential to develop into a gaming industry hub for Eastern Europe, will be key themes at SBC Summit CIS.

“So we’re delighted to be working with the Ukrainian Gambling Council and benefiting from its local market expertise. And we look forward to welcoming UGC members to the event in October.”

The agenda for the conference will also see renowned expert speakers examine the scale of the opportunities in other markets in the region, share insights about the most effective responsible gambling strategies, and debate ideas for how to harness the latest technology for the next generation of igaming products.

Delegates in Kyiv will also have the chance to get a first look at some of the newest industry innovations in the event’s exhibition and to enjoy a programme of evening networking events in stylish venues.

For those unable to travel to Ukraine, a parallel virtual version of the event will be broadcast online, giving an international audience access to the same high-level conference content.
