US igaming industry in the spotlight at SBC Summit North America

The event at Meadowlands Exposition Center, New Jersey on November 30 – December 2, 2021 will put igaming and the opportunities for its expansion in tandem with mobile sports betting at the heart of the high-level conference discussions.

The agenda features a full-day ‘iGaming Americas’ track, sponsored by Nanocosmos, on Thursday December 2. It will examine some of the reasons why online casinos have been such a hit in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan, and the challenges operators can expect to face as more states legalize and the market grows.

Among the specific topics under discussion are how suppliers can best help operators meet the growing demand in the five states where igaming is already legal, strategies to reach and engage with Gen Z players, and the relationship between social and real-money gaming.

There will also be a focus on the next generation of online casino tech, with panels addressing which areas are most in need of further development, and how to utilize the latest mobile and real-time technology to improve the slots experience.

The speaker lineup includes representatives from a host of operators, including Adi Dhandhania (COO, North America Interactive, Bally’s Corporation), Ed Andrewes (CEO, Resorts Digital Gaming), Manuel Stan (SVP – US, Kindred Group), Matt Sunderland (VP Gaming, BetMGM), Lovell Walker (VP Development, Penn National Gaming), and Adam Nobel (Chief Development Officer, PlayStar Casino).

Delegates can also expect in-depth insights and ideas from some of the forward-thinking suppliers helping to power the growth of igaming.

They include Richard Schwartz (CEO, Rush Street Interactive), Don Ryan (COO, GAN), Jeff Millar (Commercial Director North America, Evolution), Jonathan Doubilet (VP – US Business Operations, Playtech), Bob Hays (VP Commercial – Americas, SG Digital), John Gordon (CEO, Incentive Games), Tony Wang (Co-Founder & Head of Emerging Markets, Agora), and Ryan Jespersen (Chief Revenue Officer, Millicast).

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of event organizer SBC, said: “A year ago we took the decision to rebrand the show from Betting on Sports America to SBC Summit North America in order to include igaming, which we could see had the potential to become a valuable companion product to mobile sports books.

“The growth of igaming in the intervening months has been huge, and we’re delighted to have some of the leading figures in the industry join us in New Jersey to share their experiences and offer some insights into the next steps for this exciting segment.”

iGaming Americas is one of eight tracks on the SBC Summit North America conference agenda. The other seven cover the latest industry leadership challenges, regulatory developments, technology and innovation, payments and compliance, the future of sports betting, capital and growth, and marketing strategies.

The Summit begins with a networking party at Jay Z’s 40/40 Club in Manhattan on November 30, before the conference and tradeshow at Meadowlands on December 1 and 2.

Delegates can also look forward to the Sports Betting Hall of Fame ceremony at the MetLife Stadium on December 1 and, the following evening, the SBC Awards North America ceremony alongside the closing networking party at The Edison Ballroom in New York City.
