(Johannesburg, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Kai Buenger- International Sales Director of VNE Product Unit in Italy, granted an interview to SoloAzar within ICE Africa, held this week at Sandton Convention Center.

VNE showcased its range of solutions at ICE Africa

"We have a couple of solutions for the online business, which allow to integrate cash handling to existing online platforms, and we are considering our products to be very innovative fo this sector. Of course we also have traditional ticket-redemption solutions, and we want our machines to become more visible, so we have spent more effort in design and layout," Buenger affirmed.

He then commented about the experience of the firm at the show: "We decided to attend to this show three years ago when it was at its very beginnings. It was just a convention; we have already joined it and we came here last year and we consider this market to be interesting for us; so that's why we are here again."

When asked about the present edition, he answered the following: "The exhibition hall is not even full, so obviously many of the big global players still decided not to join this show. We see this show as an opportunity for the African continent to establish their own exhibition. Maybe it will take a while until the show gets the size it actually worths it, but we will keep on attending it."

After that, he talked about VNE medium-term goals in the region: "Actually, this continent is huge. We are in a couple of projects in different markets for this region. In South Africa, we are more focused on the online business and on retail applications more than in the casino operation."

"When we enter a new market, our first goal is to find appropriate distribution partners and just in a second step we start creating sales. At the moment we are still establishing a network of distribution partners and we are supporting our product in the technical aspect, so we are providing a network which provides our end customers a good opportunity to bring our machines in use successfully," he added.

Finally, he talked about future shows in which the company will participate: "Actually, I will be on a very small show in Poland next week and I'm travelling a few days later to the USA. We have 45 exhibitions per year, so it's quite a travelling business."
