(Italy, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Octavian Gaming Solutions, an Italian-based company that has development studios in Russia and in UK, and is mostly focused on developing games for the Italian gaming market, was present at ENADA Spring. Simone Pachera, CEO of the company spoke exclusively with SoloAzar during the show.
What are you exhibiting at the show?
During ENADA, which is the main Italian show, we have presented our latest products to the market. This year we have presented 9 new games, collected in two multi-game sets, which is a market trend, one set is in Platinum and one is Royal Suit, and also during the show we presented for the first time a product made in collaboration with Playtech. We made a mutual exchange content agreement, where we take the Halloween Fortune, which is the most important title in online, which is present in 140 markets, and we took it for the Italian market, by using our technology. We basically designed the hardware, all the operating system; we work under Linux, all the programming and the design of graphics, sounds, everything. It is made by our team of 60 developers.
At the same time, we brought one of our most famous titles, Lone Wolf, to the Playtech multi-platform.
Also during this exhibition, we gave hospitality to World Match, which is an Italian software provider for online, and we signed an agreement to supply them six of our best games for the online market.
How have you seen this edition of ENADA show?
This edition is very complicated because the Italian market at this moment is facing the reduction that authorities requested the market. The AWP market was quite big, around 400000 machines, and there was a big pressure from the government to reduce the number of machines, and this reduction started last December and will finish at the end of April. The final number of machines will be 265000, which of course is creating annoyance to the market because a lot of operators have to reduce the number of machines, and generate frictions, which obviously don’t help to the market health.
But we are quite sure that this reduction will guarantee the same revenues for the market but more control for authorities. As a market leader of contents, this measure had some impact on our firm, because during the first months of this year our sales have reduced, but we are taking care of the customer support and the quality of the product. But the most important thing is that we can move anyway.
What is the goal of the company for the rest of the year?
We always try to supply the market with innovative and quality products, that is guarantee of a big market share, that is goal number one. We are also trying to expand our products to other markets; we are moving in Asia. We are working with World Match for regulated markets in Europe, and the goal is to supply games on all channels simultaneously: video lotteries, AWP and online. Of course, online gaming represents a very important target in the future because all the industry is moving on that kind of technology.
What are the next exhibitions for this year?
We will be present in Colombia, FADJA, in May, in collaboration with World Match, and in ENADA Rome next October, too. We will also assist to SIGMA, in Malta, but not as exhibitors.
