(Italy, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Manuel Pasquini, Owner of Change Italia, a company that has been in the gambling sector for 20 years, spoke exclusively with SoloAzar during the last edition of ENADA Spring in Rimini.
What are you exhibiting at ENADA Show?
We exhibit monitors, bill acceptors, bill dispensers, coin dispensers, coin acceptors, card readers, power suppliers. This is the most important exhibition for the gaming sector in Italy. There is another one in Rome but it’s very small, so this is the number one nowadays. And we exhibited here for the last 20 years.
And how do you see the show this year?
This is the smallest show in history. I remember only 10 years ago this exhibition was huge, with six or seven pavilions full, and now it has only two pavilions, so you can have an idea of the situation of gaming in Italy.
What are the goals of the company for 2018?
We don’t expect that much in gaming, because the sector is not doing well in Italy, so we are more focused in other sectors, like automatic payment system and retailing payment, that are growing in this market. And we also have business in other countries, especially in Eastern Europe, where we expect business to grow. Now we have a new government in Italy and it is time to have a new regulation but we are in a stand-by at the moment. Generally speaking, we are all are waiting for a new regulation in Italy, so when the market restarts, we will be in a good position and hopefully leading the market.
What is the position of the company in the European market?
Well, I think Change Italia is in the third position in international Europe, I mean, as a component distributor, because, of course, Suzo is a very big company. We are distributors for JCM, for Fujitsu, we represent around 15 companies in Europe.
In what other shows will Change Italia be present this year?
We have been in ICE, London, which has been very good, and we will be in Sofia, Bulgaria, and of course in Italy we have two or three exhibitions. Maybe we will go to Romania, because our business target is in Eastern Europe.
