(Barcelona, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Araksi Sargsyan, Head of Business Development at DS Virtual Gaming ltd., spoke exclusively with SoloAzar after their participation in the lrecent edition of SBC Summit Barcelona. She talked about the great experience of being once again at this tradeshow showcasing their impressive products and virtual games, and also provided advanced information: “ Next year we are going to launch 2 new games”.
How was your experience at this edition of the SBC Summit Barcelona?
It was the biggest edition of SBC Barcelona ever and as always this show met all our expectations with the organisation, exhibitors, attendees, speakers and the networking events. In general SBC is the best basis for the representatives of the industry to come together and share their experiences.
We went to SBC with a huge desire to share the newest games and solutions we have been working on recently and to show our vision on the development of our segment in the upcoming years. Many people have doubts about the actuality of virtual games in the operations and by coming to our stand all the doubts about the possible stagnation of the segment are blown off. We strive to break the imaginary borders around VG and look for new opportunities for the globalisation of our games. If you think that virtual games are for land based only? Then we will show you how it works on web and mobile! You think that bringing players from land based to online is complicated? Nothing is easier than this with our new solutions. In the end boundaries are only in our heads.

Could you give a brief summary of your participation in the event, in terms of the products exhibited that most attracted the attention of the public, the conferences you attended, and if you were nominated for any awards?
We think that the guests at our stand were especially impressed by the technical side of our product and game visualisation. For example, everyone was delighted by the clearance of the image we use for transmission of our virtual games and how quickly we show the broadcast from the moment the bets close. Everyone knows for sure how our segment used to work, why players had to wait 10 seconds from the moment bets were closed until the broadcast was visualized (we show the transmission within 1 second).
Our showroom at the stand puts operators in the shoes of players who come to the betting shops and see a variety of our games in HD quality synchronised on TVs, computers, mobile devices and terminals. This indicates the reliability of the provider. At the exhibition we received a lot of information about the development of markets that interest us, regulation and gaming experience.
This information is vital in making decisions on the further development of the company. Also a pleasant bonus to everything was that we were nominated for the SBC Award in the following categories: LAND-BASED BETTING & GAMING PRODUCT and VIRTUAL SPORTS SUPPLIER.
Of course, such recognition motivates us and confirms that we are moving in the right direction. I think that our major victories are yet to come, but they are reflected in the success of our partners and in the satisfaction of their players.
What new opportunities did your firm find within the Spanish market?
As you know we are already licensed in the UK and in Italy and we are actively launching our games there. The Spanish market is the third whale in Europe to interest us. However, we still have to get a license to be presented in the market. It's interesting to follow the current operation there, touch the ground, check the opportunities. In the future Spain can be one of our main markets, but lots of things depend on the regulation.
What were the trend(s) in the Spanish or European iGaming market and what does this mean for your firm?
I think that many operators are fed up with the same type of games and are looking for new products, new ideas, new solutions, which is very commendable. The fact is that no one wants to lose sight of a potential game that could take off in the near future, because no one wants to lose their players to competitors. This plays into our hands, as we constantly come to exhibitions with our own approach and new products. I can say with certainty about one “trend” that you may not expect from DS: we will not copy successful games from other providers. We will come up with something that has no analogues in the industry.
Future Plans of the Firm for the rest of the year, and upcoming shows you will be attending
This year we still have to launch several very large projects, since next year we are going to launch 2 new games. In terms of exhibitions, our next stop will be SBC Latinоаmеrica, and then we head to Malta for SIGMA Europe. Very soon we will announce the names of our new colleagues from Latin America who have become part of the DS Virtual Gaming team. The industry has had the pleasure of working with them and I think our partners will be very pleasantly surprised by the structural changes in our company.
