“Win Systems is growing very significantly”

(Las Vegas, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Oscar Giralt, Corporate Marketing Manager of Winsystems, spoke exclusively with SoloAzar about his last participation at G2E. “G2E is the most important trade-show in America which is our main market today, so it’s a fantastic opportunity for us to exhibit new products both in the Systems and Gaming divisions”, he said.

What novelties did you bring to G2E?


G2E is the most important trade-show in America which is our main market today, so it’s a fantastic opportunity for us to exhibit new products both in the Systems and Gaming divisions. Regarding the new solutions for our casino management system Wigos, we presented Card2Go which is a 2 in 1 solution joining a casino playing card and a debit card in a single product, together with the new versions of our player tracking InTouch. Of course, we also showcased new products for our range of Gold Club electronic roulette, in particular our hybrid system which allows players to switch from the traditional roulette game to the revolutionary Chinese Roulette. Regarding the GameStarslot machines, we premiered the new slant-top slot machine GameStar ST3 and the new Symbol driven jackpot Power Gong.



What is your assessment on the presentation of the company in this edition of G2E?


Win Systems is growing very significantly, and we could clearly see this in G2E trade-show. Our booth was three times bigger than previous edition, we held almost double business meetings, countless number of delegates visited us, the party we organized at Bellagio hotel on Tuesday was really successful once again… But most importantly, we’re proud to see that feedback from our clients and partners was very positive, and we could see this translated into numerous new deals both with current and new operators.


What does G2E mean for the company?


As mentioned before, America is our main market, and G2E is the key meeting point for all key operators in the region. The trade-show is a wonderful opportunity to show our new solutions, also to meet both with current clients to discuss on-going projects and with prospects that are willing to find out what Win Systems can offer them. These days are truly intense in business activity for the whole team, but it’s worth it and we left Las Vegas really satisfied with our achievements.


What plans does the company have for the remainder of this year?


Win Systems is a global provider offering solutions in casino management systems, gaming machines and electronic roulette, also in Lotteries. Our sector is very dynamic and never stops, so in the months to come we’ll be focused in developing all current projects for our clients, working on the new deals and attending few more sector events as visitors. In parallel, our R&D and production teams are working hard in the new products for 2019, and we’re looking forward to showing the amazing new developments we’ve been working on.


In which markets does the company develop?


America is still our main market. We’ve a strong position in markets such as Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Peru… but we’re also heavily growing in many others, such as Argentina and the neighbor countries, the United States or the Caribbean markets. Overseas, Europe and Asia are also strategic markets for Win Systems. Our performance there is very positive too, and we are planning to accelerate it.


What are the next shows for the company?


The next major event for us as exhibitors will be ICE London in February, but we’ll be also attending some sector events as visitors in the meantime.


Sports betting is currently a central issue in the United States. What is your opinion about it?


Win Systems is not competing in sports betting, but we think that the fact of contemplating new business opportunities is positive for the whole sector, as it is the demonstration of its dynamism and development.


Do you think that online games are complementary or competition of land based games?


We strongly believe that online growth has not reduced land-based gaming, as it’s targeting new players and occasions. For sure both can create synergies and strengthen the other, in fact we’re sure that we’ll see growing integration of land based and online gaming.


Millennials are the players of the present and the future, how does the company adapt to them?


The new generations grow up in an interconnected world, in which mobility, access to data, immediacy provided by technology, global communication…are key elements. As a sector, we need to integrate new technologies in order to make gaming more accessible and easier for players, making it funnier, more exciting, more adapted to their needs and desires in every moment. This is both challenging and exciting at the same time, but the future of the sector goes there.
