⏱ 3 min read
(Barcelona, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Diego Verano, Director of Business Development LATAM at EEZE, shares reflections on various topics in the gaming industry after the company's participation at ICE Barcelona 2025. Market trends, regulations and novelties presented at the show are just some of the topics discussed in this interview.
To open the game we asked Diego Verano, Director of Business Development LATAM at EEZE to describe his experience as an exhibitor at this first edition of ICE in Barcelona and he explained that “The balance is quite positive because we had a large influx of people at our stand interested in learning more about our products and proposal. Personally, after my appointment as director of Business Development, it was great to be able to participate in the most important in the industry representing Ezze and in matters of organization, I am not afraid to be wrong in saying that ICE Barcelona surpassed with a margin to its predecessor.”
What new features did you present and which was the feedback during the event?
We had great acceptance by the public in LatAM and Asia, closely followed by Europe, all of this thanks to products such as Gamification through Tournaments, Campaigns and Leaderboards; our "Fusion Roulette", a futuristic game with multiplier payouts with a wide variety of customization options and last but not least; "EEZE Slots", consisting of our latest and most exciting offering with massive Jackpots, multiple games, custom themes and multilingual support.

Speaking about trends that he believes will mark the future of the gaming industry, he explained that “In 2025, the Latin American market and the continent will have the challenge of requiring a lot of work with regulators and laboratories. For this reason, together with EEZE we are in the final stages of certification and homologation for the markets of Brazil and Peru without leaving aside other important territories, such as Mexico, Argentina, and Paraguay, which opened its market very recently and will grow considerably in the future.”
How did you perceive the impact of ICE Barcelona for the LATAM region?
Without a doubt, ICE Barcelona exceeded all expectations in its first edition. The fact that it was held in a Spanish-speaking country was a great success and in a certain way allows us to emphasize that the trend of the sector in terms of growth will be our region. We can say that LatAM will be the focus of the industry in the coming years.
In relation to the Spanish market:, What challenges do you face in a market with fragmented regulations according to autonomous communities, and how do you manage it to comply with regulations and offer a quality experience to customers?
I believe that all of 2025 will be a key year to better understand how regulations impact the operation in Latin America, with the hope that this will drive the growth of formal gaming. Let's hope that the phenomenon that often occurs does not happen, which is that regulation, because it is exaggeratedly restrictive and penalizing for the regulated operator, ends up pushing people into the informal market. The different regulations that are emerging in Latin America In both Brazil and Peru, they began their regulation with a lot of uncertainty, with various changes, with several modifications, sometimes unexpected, that have tested and to the limit the flexibility of the teams, the operators and the work together.
To conclude, What are the next events you will attend to?
The EEZE LatAM team confirms that it will be present in February at both CGS Rio and SBC Summit.
