(United Kingdom).- Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) is aiming to establish itself in the Spanish online gaming market after applying for B2B and B2C licences.
Oslo-listed GiG confirmed it is seeking online B2C casino and sports betting licences, as well as certification for its B2B technical platform so it can offer its services and solutions to licensed operators in the country.
GiG, which is already licensed in Malta, the UK, Schleswig-Holstein in Germany and New Jersey, said it aims to laucnh in Spain during the second half of 2019.
“GiG is well positioned for the market opportunity in Spain covering all verticals in the iGaming value chain, supporting operators’ growth with its full turnkey solutions and with cutting edge services, products and solutions which can be optimised for bespoke operator requirements," the company explained.
GiG, which has two pending licences in Sweden, provides B2B services to operators such as Hard Rock and MRG Group's Mr Green. It also operates B2C brands such as Rizk, Guts and Thrills, which are powered by its GiG Core platform.
GiG’s sports betting portfolio consists of three modules which can be integrated as standalone products or bundled together with GIG Core for a complete solution. These include the proprietary odds and data module GiG Sports Connect, trading tool GiG Trader, and mobile-first front end and middleware solution GiG Goal.
GiG's B2C operations were the main source of income in the third quarter, responsible for €24.4m (£22m/$27.7m) of total revenue (€37.3m).
This performance came after CEO Robin Reed demanded improvements from the B2C division after it saw a dip in revenue and earnings in the second quarter of the year. Reed has taken over as acting CMO to improve the division's performance.
