More biosafety standards for the return of tourism to hotels and entertainment venues
2 minutos de lectura
(Buenos Aires) .- With the complete opening of local and foreign tourism, the sector continues to prepare to guarantee the stay of its guests and the public in a framework of safety and comfort.
Safety and hygiene are the fundamental concern of the hospitality and entertainment sector. How is the sector preparing for this scenario? Have you already incorporated antimicrobial nanotechnologies, which are the new world standard?
In the most important international hotels and casinos it is already a reality, and even more, it is the new standard in biosafety and hygiene for the return to normality after the Covid-19 pandemic. The main contact surfaces - telephones and remote controls, air filters, taps, tables and countertops, doorknobs, handrails, dressers, cabinets, night tables or, in casinos, chips, cloths, playing cards or slot machines - are coated With an antimicrobial layer, proven to be effective against the most dangerous bacteria, infectious fungi and even coronaviruses.
Protected textiles
One of the most innovative proposals for Guardian Liquid consists of a textile repellent. Repel Textil® by LÍQUIDO GUARDIÁN® is not a cleaning product, nor a sanitizer, nor a surface disinfectant. It is a protective layer that prevents and reduces contamination in fabrics. It cannot be seen or felt, but it eliminates the most dangerous pathogenic microorganisms by mere physical contact, without chemical action or toxicity for the environment and people.
Tablecloths, rugs, curtains, upholstered chairs and mattresses, can be coated with this nano coating based on water and modified Silicon Dioxide (SiO2) that will help prevent, inactivate and reduce the load of microorganisms both on fabrics and on contact surfaces. absorbents, and their proliferation, continuously and for a long time. Repel textil® will also generate a certain degree of water repellency in the textiles where it is applied, thus reducing and inactivating bacteria, fungi, spores and viruses. Example: Coronavirus, KPC, H1N1, E-Coli, STAPH, among others.

Safe hotels and casinos
In many places in the first world, for example, vaccination against covid-19 is being required to enter cinemas, theaters, bars, museums, public spaces and –as in New York– even in casinos. In Argentina, for example, casinos and bingo halls presented demanding sanitary protocols to reopen, based on distancing and disinfection. There, although the use of antimicrobial nanotechnology is not specified in them, the truth is that this can be essential to optimize many of the measures that will be mandatory, such as the periodic disinfection of cards, the lamination of letters to be able to disinfect them often, or permanent cleaning of surfaces.
"If we take into account that we have a material that allows objects and surfaces to self-disinfect, it is clear that we do not avoid those hygiene measures, but we do exponentially increase their effectiveness and give an important differential of protection and safety to customers" said Ezequiel Barbeito, CEO and Co-Founder of Liquid Guardian.
Today a slot machine, a gaming table or even the chips treated in this way, reducing the percentages of contagion, not only of Covid-19 but also of other diseases. Anything that is of regular contact by customers and employees can be protected. "The tests we have carried out in recognized institutions such as INTA, INTI or the Stamboulian center demonstrate the power and durability of these protectors, which are also presented in specific formats for lenses and glasses, metals and electronics and textiles ”, he concludes.
Antimicrobial nanotechnologies are here to stay, and in this reopening of the tourism and entertainment sector after the pandemic, more than a simple novelty, they seem destined to be the new standard for living safer and in healthier environments.
