Nevada gaming revenue rises 3.14% to $1.27 billion in August

(Carson City).- Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported $1.266 billion in gaming win in August 2026, up 3.14% year-on-year, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board. The state also recorded $72.6 million in percentage fee collections in September, based on taxable gaming revenue generated during August.

Nevada gaming win reaches $1.26 billion in August

Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees generated a total gaming win of $1,266,105,114 in August 2026, compared with $1,227,573,173 in August 2025.

The result represents a 3.14% year-on-year increase.

For the first two months of fiscal year 2027, covering July 1 through August 31, gaming win reached $2.654 billion, an increase of 2.58% compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Las Vegas Strip posts moderate growth

Clark County accounted for $1.062 billion of the statewide August total, up 2.80% year-on-year.

The Las Vegas Strip generated $684.1 million, representing a 0.70% increase compared with August 2025.

Other Clark County markets recorded more significant changes. The Boulder Strip reported $83.2 million, up 17.38%, while Laughlin reached $39.9 million, an increase of 9.92%.

Downtown Las Vegas, by contrast, recorded $61.5 million, down 2.96% year-on-year.

North Las Vegas generated $24.9 million, down 0.74%, while Mesquite reported $15.6 million, a 1.28% decline. The balance of Clark County reached $153 million, up 7.44%.

Washoe County gaming win grows 10.44%

Washoe County recorded $108.4 million in gaming win during August, an increase of 10.44% compared with the same month in 2025.

Reno was the main contributor, with gaming win of $79.4 million, up 15.69% year-on-year.

Sparks posted $17.3 million, down 5.70%, while North Lake Tahoe reached $2.67 million, representing a 3.35% increase.

The balance of Washoe County generated $9 million, up 5.11%.

For the first two months of the fiscal year, Washoe County gaming win totaled $214.2 million, an increase of 6.58%.

Other Nevada markets show mixed results

South Lake Tahoe reported $26.3 million in August gaming win, down 1.95% year-on-year, while Elko County reached $36.5 million, a 2.88% decline.

Within Elko County, Wendover generated $24.2 million, down 4.16%.

The Carson Valley Area recorded $12.3 million, a 3.56% decrease, while the “Other” category reached $20.4 million, up 7.16%.

The Gaming Control Board noted that the reported win totals reflect the most recent available data and remain subject to revision.

Nevada collects $72.5 million in gaming percentage fees

Nevada collected $72,563,543 in percentage fees in September 2026, based on taxable gaming revenues generated during August.

The amount was 5.98% lower than the $77,181,555 collected during the corresponding period a year earlier, representing a decrease of approximately $4.62 million.

Through the first three months of the fiscal year, statewide percentage fee collections totaled $256.76 million, down 1.31% from $260.16 million during the comparable period of the previous fiscal year.

Percentage fee collections remain below prior year

The monthly collection figures show mixed results during the opening months of the fiscal year.

July collections reached $98.44 million, up 3.41% year-on-year, while August collections stood at $72.56 million, down 5.98%.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board stated that percentage fee collections reported through September 21, 2026, do not include $1.83 million in transferable tax credits taken fiscal-year-to-date.

The collection totals, like the gaming win figures, reflect the most recent available data and remain subject to revision.
