(Harrisburg, PA).- Pennsylvania’s regulated gaming market posted strong growth in February 2026, with total revenue reaching $547.1 million, marking a 14.6% year-on-year increase, according to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB).
The latest figures confirm the continued expansion of one of the most mature regulated gaming markets in the United States. The $547,103,943 generated across all verticals—including land-based casinos, iGaming, sports wagering, video gaming terminals (VGTs), and fantasy contests—translated into $236 million in tax revenue for the state.
The performance highlights the strength of Pennsylvania’s diversified gaming ecosystem, with digital channels and sports betting emerging as the primary growth drivers.
iGaming and sports betting fuel market expansion
Online gaming once again proved to be a key pillar of growth. Total iGaming revenue reached a record $239.9 million in February, up 15.5% compared to the same period in 2025. Within this segment, iSlots led the way with $191.5 million, posting a robust 24.1% increase year-over-year.
Meanwhile, sports wagering delivered the most dramatic growth. Despite a 21.7% decline in total handle—falling to $592.4 million—taxable revenue surged by 405.6%, reaching $37.8 million. This sharp increase reflects improved operator margins and more favorable betting outcomes compared to February 2025.
Leading operators in the sports betting segment included Valley Forge Casino Resort, which generated over $18.1 million in revenue, followed by Hollywood Casino at the Meadows with $9.7 million.
Land-based gaming maintains stability
Retail gaming segments showed moderate but steady growth. Slot machine revenue rose 3.1% to $192.1 million, despite a slight reduction in the number of machines in operation statewide. Parx Casino remained the top-performing property in this category, generating $29.4 million.
Table games revenue also increased, albeit modestly, by 2.1% to $72.6 million. Notable gains were recorded at properties such as Wind Creek Bethlehem and Live! Casino Philadelphia, reflecting stable demand in the land-based segment.
Overall, traditional casino gaming continues to provide a solid foundation for the state’s gaming industry, even as digital channels gain prominence.
Operator performance and competitive landscape
Among individual operators, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course led total revenue generation with $106.8 million, followed by Valley Forge Casino Resort at $93.6 million. Several properties posted significant year-on-year gains, including Hollywood Casino Morgantown, which saw revenue jump by 187.5%, and Hollywood Casino York, up 51%.
However, not all operators experienced growth. Live! Casino Philadelphia and Live! Casino Pittsburgh reported declines, highlighting increasing competition in both retail and online segments.
Secondary segments: VGTs and fantasy contests
Video gaming terminals (VGTs) delivered stable performance, with revenue rising slightly by 0.77% to $3.22 million. The number of truck stop locations offering VGTs increased year-over-year, contributing to incremental growth.
In contrast, fantasy contests continued their downward trend, with revenue declining 7.5% to $1.38 million. Major operators such as DraftKings and FanDuel reported lower returns, signaling a shift in player preferences toward sportsbook and online casino products.
A mature, multi-channel gaming market
Pennsylvania’s February results underscore the effectiveness of its comprehensive regulatory framework, which integrates multiple gaming verticals under a single oversight structure. The strong tax contribution—over $236 million in a single month—reinforces the sector’s role as a critical source of public revenue.
As digital adoption accelerates and competition intensifies, the state’s gaming market continues to evolve, with iGaming and sports betting shaping the next phase of growth while land-based casinos maintain their relevance within a balanced, multi-channel ecosystem.
