Ana Maria Melo Netto, quoted to take over the Prize and Betting Secretariat in Brazil

(Brasilia).- There are still no plans for a replacement for José Francisco Manssur, former special advisor to the Executive Secretariat and one of the main mentors behind the regulation of sports betting in Brazil. However, the name of Ana Maria Melo Netto Oliveira is well tipped to take over the Secretariat for Prize and Betting - SPA.
Maria Melo Netto is Undersecretary for Structural Reforms and Economic Analysis of the Law and specialises in Public Policy and Government Management. She has held various positions in the public service, such as Deputy Head of Economic Policy - SAG of the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic; Chair of the Appeals Council of the National Private Insurance, Open Private Pension and Capitalisation System - CRSNSP.
She was also a Board Member of TELEBRÁS and a Board Member of the FGTS Board of Trustees. The professional has the full confidence of Marcos Pinto, Secretary for Economic Reforms and responsible for choosing Manssur's replacement.
On Wednesday (21), Decree No. 11.907/2024 came into force, creating the Secretariat for Prizes and Betting - SPA within the Ministry of Finance. Some appointments to the organism have already been made by the Ministry of Finance.

Renato Perez Pucci (general systems coordinator of the Under-Secretariat for Monitoring and Inspection);

Letícia Soeiro (Responsible Gambling Monitoring Coordinator of the General Responsible Gambling Monitoring Coordination);
André Luiz Gonçalves Garcia (general coordinator of Betting Authorisation at the Under-Secretariat for Authorisation);
Dayane Rodrigues de Souza (technical assistant of the General Coordination of Regulation);
Antônia Alberlania Ferreira Rufino (technical assistant of the Coordination of Authorisation and Accountability of the General Coordination of Authorisation of Commercial Promotions of the Undersecretariat of Authorisation);
Kelvin Gabriel da Costa Coelho (technical assistant at the Subsecretariat for Sanctioning Action);
Rosângela Fragoso de Mendonça Santiago (assistant in the secretary's office);
Lêilla Raphaella da Silva Ferreira (technical assistant to the Responsible Gambling Coordination of the General Coordination for Monitoring Responsible Gambling);
Marluce dos Santos Borges (head of office);
Lilia Alves Pereira (assistant).
