(Stockholm).- The Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling (BOS) has submitted its response to the Swedish Gambling Authority regarding proposed amendments to the regulations and guidelines on anti‑money laundering and counter‑terrorist financing (SIFS 2019:2).

BOS Responds to Proposed Changes in Sweden’s AML Regulations

BOS has submitted its statement to the Swedish Gambling Authority on the Proposal for Amendments to Regulations and General Advice on Measures against Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism.

BOS has no opinion on the actual issue. BOS has no member that offers restaurant casinos in Sweden, which is the only gambling vertical affected by the proposed amendment.

BOS refrains from commenting on the actual issue – but emphasizes two things in a broader AML context: 1. That the authorities should have a greater focus on the unlicensed market 2. Calls for increased dialogue to reduce the actual risk.
