(Las Vegas).- Company becomes the first supplier to apply across all licensing categories for the country's emerging IR market.
Konami Gaming, Inc. has become the first gaming equipment manufacturer to submit license applications to Japan's Casino Regulatory Commission (JCRC), marking a key milestone in the country's developing integrated resort (IR) market. The company also became the first supplier to apply in every applicable licensing category.

First manufacturer to file with Japan's regulator
KONAMI GROUP CORPORATION's gaming and systems subsidiary, Konami Gaming, Inc., announced that it has officially submitted its manufacturer license applications to the Japan Casino Regulatory Commission (JCRC), the government agency responsible for overseeing the country's regulated casino industry.
The company stated that it is the first manufacturer to file applications with the regulator and the first to submit across all applicable licensing categories, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the responsible development of Japan's emerging integrated resort market.
"Konami's early filing demonstrates our commitment and readiness to engage constructively with Japan's regulatory framework from the outset. We have approached this process with a focus on transparency, preparation, and alignment with the stringent standards established by the JCRC," said Lori Olk, Senior Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer at Konami Gaming, Inc.
Supporting Japan's emerging IR market
Japan's first integrated resort is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in 2030. As the market takes shape, Konami said its early application positions the company to participate from the initial stages of the country's regulated casino industry.
According to the company, significant investments have been made in localization, regulatory documentation, and operational planning to ensure compliance with Japan's legal, cultural, and regulatory requirements. Konami also highlighted its global experience operating in more than 400 regulated gaming markets.
Long-term commitment to regulatory compliance
Konami emphasized that its licensing effort reflects decades of experience in highly regulated jurisdictions and its intention to support the long-term success of Japan's IR sector.
"This milestone in Konami's application process with the JCRC represents a significant, coordinated effort across multiple business units and jurisdictions, supported by decades of experience operating in highly regulated gaming markets worldwide. As Japan continues to expand its IR framework, Konami remains focused on supporting regulatory objectives and partnering with stakeholders to deliver compliant, high-quality gaming solutions tailored to the needs of the Japanese market," said Tom Jingoli, President & Chief Operating Officer at Konami Gaming.
