The court has dismissed the lawsuit brought by the previous license holder, who was defeated in the competition for concepts relating to safe and high-quality casino operations. This represents an important decision for the future of the ten casino locations in the state of Lower Saxony.

With the concession now in place, Merkur Casinos will quickly implement their plans to further develop their locations in Lower Saxony. This includes the creation of additional jobs and a takeover offer for all current employees. "Our goal is to optimize the locations and create long-term career prospects for employees," continued David Schnabel. "Our personnel concept achieved 100 percent of the possible points in the tendering process because we guarantee security for the entire existing workforce and will also create new jobs. Concerns among the casino staff were unfounded at all times, even if the opposite impression was given by others."
