Argentina has recently implemented significant foreign trade policy reforms, emphasizing deregulation and economic openness. Key changes include:

Elimination of Importer/Exporter Registration: Decree 70/2023 removed the requirement for prior registration, allowing anyone to engage in foreign trade.

Customs Broker Deregulation: The same decree eliminated the mandatory use of customs brokers, simplifying clearance processes.

Export Duty Reduction: Decree 38/2025 set a 0% export duty for certain goods to enhance competitiveness.

Eased Import Restrictions: Taxes on international purchases were removed up to a certain amount, and import limits were raised.

Port Administration Reform: A new agency, ANPYN, was created to manage key waterways for exports.

These changes aim to boost Argentina’s global trade competitiveness, requiring businesses to adapt to the evolving regulatory landscape.
