Argentina: Buenos Aires lottery officially enabled electronic payments at official agencies

(Buenos Aires).- Electronic payment methods have been enabled for bets placed at official lottery agencies in the province of Buenos Aires. The measure was made official through a resolution by the Institute for the more than four thousand agencies in the province of Buenos Aires.
Electronic payment methods for bets at official lottery agencies in the province of Buenos Aires are now officially enabled. This way, each agent will be able to freely choose which virtual wallet to use to operate this new method, and the public will be able to place their bets more simply, quickly, and securely, without having to carry cash.
From now on, bettors will be able to place their bets using funds in their account or debit cards using electronic, digital, or virtual wallets. Likewise, the use of electronic payment methods derived from debit cards linked to social programs or schemes is prohibited.
In addition, prizes at agencies may also be paid in cash, through virtual wallets, or by bank transfer.
The resolution was made official in early February by the Institute and is operational as of today in official agencies, racetracks and their respective horse racing agencies, and gaming rooms in the province.
