Lottopar becomes Brazil's first state lottery to join the WLA

(Paraná, Brazil).- Lottopar, the Paraná State Lottery, announced this week that it has joined the WLA (World Lottery Association), the largest lottery association in the world, that brings together more than 150 state lotteries, in 80 countries, on the 5 continents. It´s considered to be the global authority of the industry that search for defending the hihgher ethical principles in safe and responsable gaming.

According to the CEO of Lottopar, Daniel Romanowski, with this membership of the World Lottery Association, the Government of Paraná is once again demonstrating its commitment to the strictest standards of social responsibility and to the promotion of a safe gambling environment, which aims to protect gamblers and offer conditions for responsible gambling.

"Joining is essential for Paraná and highlights the pioneering role of our institution. We want to exchange knowledge and experiences and continue our constant search for the best management practices in the global lottery market," he said. "By being part of the WLA, we have the opportunity to improve our management in all areas, such as risk management and security, marketing and corporate social responsibility and always aiming to improve the offer of a safe gaming environment."

In order to join the world's largest lottery association, Lottopar had to fulfil a number of requirements, including a commitment to comply with Responsible Gaming policies and a Code of Ethics that will guide not only Lottopar's actions, but also those of all participants in the lottery system, such as operators, suppliers and other interested parties.

CIBELAE - Lottopar is also a member of the Ibero-American Lottery and Betting Corporation, an association that helps the authority to strengthen ties with other state lotteries in order to share knowledge and experience in areas such as responsible gambling, anti-money laundering and social responsibility.
