(Isle of Man).- The world’s first licenced blockchain lottery operator, Quanta, has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of former Intralot Executive Konstantinos Farris.
Konstantinos joins the Isle of Man-based firm as Chief Technology Officer and will provide technical leadership and ensure Quanta’s powerful Ethereum blockchain technologies are used appropriately and effectively.
He will oversee IT project management, product testing and integration, and will work closely with Quanta’s experienced technical development teams. In addition, Konstantinos will develop technical aspects of the firm’s IT strategy.
Konstantinos joins Quanta following a prosperous twenty-year career at Greek lottery giant Intralot; from 2007 to 2016 he was the Chief of Technology for the Intralot Group, holding the executive roles of General Technical Director then Group CTO.
Lee Hills, Chief Operating Officer at Quanta, said: “I am delighted to welcome Konstantinos to the team; he is a heavyweight when it comes to gambling and technology, and is a huge asset for us as we continue to leverage the power and capabilities of our blockchain platform.
“It is going to be an exciting era in the gambling industry from a business and technical perspective, and we look forward to the vision and input Konstantinos will bring to the future global development of our business and IT strategies.”
Konstantinos Farris, Chief Technology Officer at Quanta, said: “I am thrilled to join Quanta at such an exciting time for the business. It is clear blockchain technologies have a significant place in the online gambling and lottery industries, and I am excited by the challenge of making Quanta a global leader in the space.”
Quanta is the first fully compliant blockchain lottery in the world. Built on the Ethereum blockchain, Quanta utilizes smart contracts for tickets sales, the selection of winners and prize payouts, ensuring fully autonomous, transparent, manipulation-proof gaming.
Developed with breakthrough RNG (random number generation), the first provably fair lottery can operate independently or be adopted as a white label solution.
Quanta’s decentralized global network provides not only safety and credibility to players and operators but democratizes the experience by making it available to people regardless of border or economic status
