A 67% of the users bet via smartphones daily in Colombia

(Colombia).- Colombia is the fourth country that generates more winnings from gaming in Latin America, after Mexico, Brazil and Argentina, totalling US$ 385 million in 2018, according to a global report performed by Newzoo.

A 67% of the users bet via smartphones daily in Colombia

According to a Mobile Gaming investigation in Colombia, most of the people surveyed (67%) gamble though their smartphones every day. The research was performed by OnDevice for AdColony, a Company belonging to the video advertising In-App, which is represented exclusively by Adsmovil in Latin America.

The reasons why users gamble through their mobile phones are: to have fun, relax, socialize, win money, mental exercise, to improve their reflections and concentration, and even because it makes them feel younger. The study revealed that a 66% feel happy while they gamble, so it becomes an ideal space for brands to have impact on users. The 82% of the users watch advertisements in video in order to achieve extra lives on mobile games, the 29% assures remembering the video announcements they watched and a 53% sometimes does.

It is clear that the videogames industry advances rapidly on the leisure activities list; besides, its growth is boosted by the use of mobile devices.
In short, these are the main conclusions of the survey, performed to people between 18 and 64 years old:

- Most of the people surveyed (67%) gamble on their smartphones every day.
- The (48%) of users that play on mobile devices every day do it five or more times a day, and the y (37%) dedicates more than an hour.
- The preferred timetable to gamble on the mobile is between 5p.m. and 11 p.m.
- 6 from every 10 people surveyed gamble on their smartphones while they are "at home.”
- The 39% of the people surveyed listens to music while they gamble.
- The 65% of the people surveyed have 1 to 3 games installed on their smartphones, and 23% have 4 to 6 games installed.
- The 40% of the total of the sample prefer games of Strategy, followed by Action games (34%) and Simulation and careers (23%).
- The 33% of the people surveyed considers that the digital environment is secure, and the 70% believe the mobile gaming environment is secure.
- Most of the people surveyed (71%) prefer not to shop via their different mobile devices, and more than a half (66%) prefer not to spend money shopping In-App.
