Betcris Expands Leadership Team with New Country Manager in Brazil

(San Jose).- Betcris continues to enhance its sports betting and iGaming operations across Latin America. The appointment of a new Country Manager for Brazil will facilitate the company’s activity in the country, and Betcris has chosen a seasoned legal and gaming expert to fill the position.

Betcris Expands Leadership Team with New Country Manager in Brazil

Angelo Alberoni, a long-time executive in the industry with previous positions at Betmotion and Vivagol.com, is coming to Betcris to provide his expertise and knowledge to the company’s efforts in Brazil.


Alberoni has been involved in the gaming industry since 2009. He received his CBA in Sports Marketing and Management from IBMEC, following that up with post-graduate studies in Football Business from the Cruyff Institute. That led to Alberoni receiving his Master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Lisbon.


In addition to his experience working with global gaming companies in Latin America and Europe, he is also a partner at VX Comunicação de Portugal and director of the Brazilian Sports Betting Association, ABAESP. Since 2014, he has managed Betzilian.com, a website specialized in sports betting news and content about Brazil and the world, in addition to hosting the Betzilian.Cast podcast and a weekly program on Youtube, Betzilian News.


The newly appointed Country Manager, who also boasts of a background as a lawyer, says of his involvement with Betcris, “Both professionally and personally, it represents being part of the largest sports betting company in Latin America. Betcris is present in more than 17 countries, with a large part in Latin America, and being able to participate in an operation of this scale is something that motivates me to always be in constant search of improvement and, of course, to learn from a team made. formed by experienced professionals with incredible energy.”


Betcris, which just won the Employer of the Year award at SBC Awards Latinoamérica, is happy to welcome Alberoni aboard and knows that his talents will help the company gain a large foothold in Brazil. Given his background, Alberoni will be a strong ally in the operator’s continuing initiatives designed to enhance player education and focus on responsible gaming.


Alberoni will work alongside many of the top leaders at Betcris, including CEO JD Duarte, who was chosen as the Leader of the Year in the SBC Awards Latinoamérica, Gabriel Nuñez del Arco, Fernando Garita, Carlos Soto and more. Together, they will be able to shape the progress of the regulation of online gambling and sports betting in Brazil.


Adds Alberoni, “Betcris is booming, and Brazil is one of the main targets for next year. Our brand enters all markets with the aim of leading the sports betting segment and, with Brazil, it will not be different.”
