At the General Meeting of NOVOMATIC AG, Birgit Wimmer, MSc., MBA, was appointed to the company’s Supervisory Board and subsequently elected Chairwoman at its constitutive meeting. She succeeds Dr. Bernd Oswald, who served as a Member of the Supervisory Board for approximately ten years and will now take on a new role within the NOVOMATIC Group.

As a co-shareholder, Birgit Wimmer has played an active role for many years in key governance functions across the Group’s top holding companies. Her career includes serving as a Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors of the Swiss holding companies and as Managing Director of NOVO Invest GmbH. She brings extensive investment and management expertise, complemented by many years of experience in the banking sector.

“As Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, I look forward to working closely with my colleagues on both the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board to help drive the Group’s strategic and sustainable development,” said Birgit Wimmer.

Dr. Haig Asenbauer, an internationally experienced lawyer with a strong background in cross-border M&A transactions, corporate reorganizations, and complex investment structures, was elected Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Martina Flitsch continues in her role as a Member of the Supervisory Board, contributing her long-standing experience in international group structures and strategic and legal support for corporate investments. Dr. Robert Hofians, a renowned expert in finance and capital markets with extensive experience in governance and regulation as a professor and public accountant, also remains a Member of the Supervisory Board.
