Gavin Isaacs Joins GLI® Board of Directors in Advisory Role

GLI expands its board with industry veteran

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI®) has announced the appointment of Gavin Isaacs to its Board of Directors in an advisory capacity. His formal appointment remains subject to regulatory review and approval.

Isaacs will work alongside CVC representatives Alexander Heerkens Thijssen, Matt Turner and Zach Kelly, as well as GLI President and CEO James Maida.

More than two decades of global gaming experience

Isaacs has more than 25 years of experience as a CEO and board director across the global gaming, iGaming, sports betting and lottery industries. His career includes leadership roles focused on business transformation, strategic growth, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate turnarounds.

Throughout his career, he has overseen strategic M&A transactions valued at more than $10 billion and worked with both public and private companies, ranging from multinational enterprises to emerging businesses.

His industry contributions have been recognized with several awards, including the Casino Management Association Gaming Professional of the Year Award in 2004, the International Gaming Awards Outstanding Contribution Award in 2017, and the AGEM Jens Halle Memorial Award in 2018. In 2022, he was inducted into the American Gaming Association Hall of Fame.

Focus on GLI's next stage of growth

Isaacs currently remains active as a strategic advisor, investor and board member, drawing on his international experience and industry expertise.

James Maida welcomed the appointment, highlighting Isaacs' experience and track record of innovation as GLI prepares to expand its global operations.

“I am thrilled that Gavin is joining the GLI board. The board and I as CEO have ambitious plans that will further propel GLI globally over the next several years,” Maida said.

Isaacs also highlighted the company's development and said he looks forward to working with Maida and CVC as GLI enters its next phase.

CVC partnership supports GLI's expansion

The appointment follows GLI's strategic partnership with global investment firm CVC, announced in June. Through its Strategic Opportunities platform, CVC completed an investment in GLI and related entities to support the company's continued growth and long-term development.
