Merkur Group Finalizes Acquisition of Gaming Arts

(Lübbecke).- In May of this year, Merkur Group was granted a licence to manufacture and distribute Merkur products in the state of Nevada. At the same time, the Nevada Gaming Commission approved the acquisition of Gaming Arts, LLC, a Las Vegas-based gaming technology provider. This transaction was successfully completed on September 15.

German Gaming Giant Strengthens Its U.S. Market Presence

“The acquisition is a key element of our re‐entry strategy into the U.S. market, one of the most respected and strictly regulated gaming markets worldwide. With Gaming Arts, we are now able to place Merkur products directly in a wide range of U.S. jurisdictions. This marks an important step in expanding our international growth beyond European borders,” said Dominik Raasch, Management Board Member, Merkur Games.


Gaming Arts is recognized as a pioneer in technological innovation in the U.S. gaming market. Its current 68-member team develops slot machines, games, bingo and keno solutions, as well as electronic table games, with a clear focus on the requirements and preferences of the U.S. market. As part of the acquisition, the portfolio will be expanded to include Merkur cabinets, highlighted by the recent U.S. launch of the Mod Ex family paired with Gaming Arts game content.
